"The empanada dough was too thick for my liking. Empanada flavors we tasted included chicken; chicken and cheese; beef and cheese; spinach; Peruvian mac and cheese, which seemed like regular mac and cheese to us. Fried plantains are good. Dolce de lecce cookie was so-so. We ordered the dolce de lecce empanada too, which was better than the cookie. The yellow rice and chorizo didn’t taste homemade — when it comes to rice, if it tastes like I could have made it better, it’s a big let-down. We ordered chips and guacamole and didn’t select “extra guacamole,” and were a little disappointed by the size of the standard container, too."

Very bad service, the last straw is that they prepare the same dishes.

We placed a large order of a variety of food. Unfortunately, we weren’t impressed.

Beef and cheesy chicken Empanadas came unseasoned on the inside. Green sauce was very good though. View menu

These are the best empanadas I have ever tried. The prices are very reasonable and they also serve homemade lemonade. Absolutely delicious!

The food was plentiful and cheap, but too salty. Parking: One has to look around for parking. Parking is available free on the street if you can find a spot

Amazing authentic food made fresh. I'm not really a guacamole person but this place makes me a fan of theirs! I recommend the platter for those that may not be sure what they wish to try, you'll definitely want to return and try more of everything...ifthere were more stars I'd add them as well! View menu

The empanadas were truly bad, worst I've ever had crust soft, meat flavorless. The rice and beans was just blah and the fried plantains were undercooked. All around not good food. I ended up tossing most of it. To top it off, the cashier was not too friendly and didn't seem to want to help me chose what to order. I rarely leave such a bad review, but I had to on this one.

The empanadas at this restaurant are fantastic. We tried the cabbage/chorizo empanada for lunch and it was delicious, while the Dulce de Leche empanada was rich and gooey. We enjoyed them so much that we ordered a variety for dinner. They reheated well in the air fryer and all the flavors - chicken, beef, and chicken/cheese - were excellent. However, we were not big fans of the tamales. The yellow sauce did not enhance the meal, but the cilantro sauce was superb.

"We had requested the rounded corner booth in the main dining room and arrived 20 minutes early, planning to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. But instead, we were seated at a booth right next to our preferred one. A couple finished their meal shortly after we sat down, well before our 6:30 reservation. We ordered a Beefeater gin and tonic and a very dry Beefeater martini. Both drinks had an unusual, perfume-like scent that was quite off-putting. My wife sent her drink back, and I decided to switch to a Bombay martini, but the same strange floral fragrance persisted. I regularly enjoy Beefeater and Bombay dry martinis and have never experienced this odd aftertaste before. For my main course, the Duck and Porcini confit ragu had hardly any duck in it. There were only a few shreds of duck meat hidden in the tagliatelle, but no substantial pieces. My wife’s Pesto and Shrimp dish arrived swimming in a broth. While this might be a traditional way to serve it, there was no mention of broth on the menu. She had expected the pesto to be coated on the pasta and oily, rather than soupy. As much as we have loved Capriccio over the past three decades, this experience was disappointing. We didn't even stay for dessert. We'll certainly return, but I hope to avoid writing another negative review. I usually don’t share my thoughts unless absolutely necessary, but I felt compelled to do so this time."
