"My best friend and I visited this place since we hunted Pupusas. The lady of the house supported us and was extremely helpful and friendly. She recommended CHURRASCO GUATEMALTECO. Although expensive, it tasted amazing. The meat includes pork, beef, chicken and chorizo together with guacamole and salsa. That was a big meat sampler. Salvadorian Horchata was interesting in taste because it is different from Mexican horchata. This has a nutty taste (almond). My best friend liked it. I have the Atol de Elote. It tasted like a warm hug. It was mainly condensed milk flavor, but it has some spices in it together with corn. I bet that would be very cold. Finally, the Chicharron pupusa was my favorite of all the other pupusas we got (cheese and the other is shrimp). It was roasted to crispy on the outside and still warm and soft on the inside. I recommend this place 100% and will come back to other foods they have to offer."

Loved the service we received and our waitress Lupe was an awesome host. I totally recommend this place for any first timers who love to try new things. Remember eat with your hands and not your fork for real experience. View menu

We stumbled on this place by accident and I am so glad we did. Food was AMAZING! Our server Pamela was so incredibly sweet and tour guides us through the menu. The Tres Leches cake is the BEST! I highly recommend trying this lil local spot out.

I got the 7 mares soup. It was very delicious and so filling that it and my appetizer (fluffy round tortillas and a bean spread) were enough to be a whole meal. I tried their ensalada beverage which was sweet and fruity. I had my first Michellada and it had a nice kick to it. The young gentleman working the desk and the cute waitress were accommodating and friendly. I'll definitely be back.

Hello everyone in La county today I try La Esperanza restaurant breakfast carne azada plate, well let me tell you what I found: This carne azada was so juicy, tasty, delicious, soft as well as the chicken azada, the chorizo, the succulents charbroiled onions together with the refried black beans, chirmol (Guatemalan sauce) and the delicious guacamole and home made tortillas, also the personal service by the owners thank you Danny. This plate I highly recomend to anyone looking for a fantastic place/meal to enjoy anytime, of course all the other food is sooooo delicious.

"My experience on this website was extremely unpleasant. Using open table I booked what I thought was a reservation. Upon arrival to the location, I am informed that not only is this restaurant/ location not affiliated to the opentable website; but wait time would be approximately 1 hour. Despite having received an email from open table confirming a “reservation”, BJ’s Restaurant at the Del Amo Fashion Center refused to validate booking and seat our party. Management at this establishment, at the time of expected service “Chris” confirmed booking through the website was only a “quote” of the expected time of service. I was assured nothing could be done since the restaurant was full low staffed. It’s important to note that I have dined at this location on several occasions, and was not nearly as busy compared to past visits. We were encouraged to wait, our party was seated within 15 minutes. Please note my review is based on booking through this website, and the miscommunication between open table corporate BJ’s Restaurants and managing staff. Our waitress was lovely, and the restaurant accommodated to our party as they could. I want to believe that BJ’s is no longer affiliated to open table, and if this is the case please REMOVE THE RESERVATION OPTION. It’s extremely disappointing to use this service only to be let down."
