"I really want to love this place. It's close to our house and has a nice menu, plus we eat out a lot. But we've tried it twice since it opened and have only been disappointed. The service and the kitchen are so slow. On our second visit, we had reservations for 6:30 p.m. for Mother's Day (we were celebrating with our parents . The hostess was a mess...couldn't find our reservation via OpenTable (my dad had to point it out , she left my elderly parents standing by themselves at the front desk for almost 10 minutes (they arrived early and then she seated a family who came in after they did (she didn't even talk to my parents, just automatically took this other family first . The restaurant wasn't even half full, so it's unclear why she was so frazzled. Our waiter was really nice but totally overwhelmed. He let us know upfront that ordering a cocktail would take forever, so we ordered wine and beer instead. Those took so long to arrive that I hate to think how long an actual cocktail would have taken. Our food didn't even arrive until about 8:15 p.m. (and we had a 6:30 reservation! . Two meals came out first and we had to wait about five minutes for the other two meals. We really wanted this place to succeed. But we won't be back."

Eggs benedict uses Canadian bacon, not strip bacon. Eggs were TOO overdone. More hollandaise sauce was needed. Fruit would be nice, colorful, tasty accompaniment to this dish. Server was very nice. I'll probably be back but not for brunch. View menu

Been curious to check out the new Italian place in this location and was very pleased. Pasta was clearly homemade, fresh and the food was nice and hot. Portions were generous and sitting at a high top in the bar area made for a nice, casual meal. Will go back, for sure.

Carlos is a fantastic server who took excellent care of us. The food is one hundred percent authentic Italian, and the only thing missing is being in Italy itself. The laid back atmosphere combined with food that is truly out of this world, made for a great dining experience we are definitely going to repeat!

Two people in our group got served after waiting an hour for their food. Our guest of honor had to wait another 15 minutes. The waiter apparently forgot to put in our order. He also forgot a drink order. The poor service ruined our celebration. When it arrived, the food was good, but the portions were small for the price. We will not go back. View menu

We had great expectations after reading some reviews. Service needs a lot of improvement. Our waitress was servicial but didn’t check on us at all until she brought the check. Wine selection is only Italian and not very good for a 14$ glass of cabernet. Food was tasty enough but my spaghetti Amatricciana was not al dente. The veal scaloppini ordered was a nice portion. The chicken cutlet Milanese was over fried and not any special. Bread is thick and compact and they serve it with an olive tapenade that does not make the best complement. It will be in order to return and check the pizza and get a second opinion!

Looking for an Italian restaurant nearby. Ovvio Osteria has closed. La Favola has opened in the same location. We started with a reasonably priced Italian blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. The complimentary bread was accompanied by a delicious tapenade. We asked our server about the size of the salads. We could not get a clear answer but we decided to share a beet salad. It was delicious, with 3 kinds of beets, loads of fresh arugula and a cheese spread that was below the greens on the plate. My wife and salmon and I had the lobster ravioli.
