"A true gem in this town! Street parking is available along with a small private lot located in the back of the restaurant. On numerous occasions had lunch or dinner and every time had wonderful experiences. You have the option to sit at the bar or table. Pick the tables located against the wall for an intimate experience. The owner/manager Angelo is amazing! Nothing speaks louder then an owner on the floor doing the duties along side of his employees. Bravo!! The food overall is always superb. I recommend the grilled chicken Cesar salad and fried calamari. All tastes freshly made and portions are just right for the price. Your bar/drink option is full. Go for the Pinot Grigio or Zinfandel when having their pasta."

I visited NJ for 4 days and the only thing I made sure to do before I left was eat at La Fiamma again. Delicious food and very polite/attentive staff. Angelo, if you see this, your friends Talia and Nikki say HI!

Pickup Order, nice ambiance with incredibly friendly and polite staff! The Cesar dressing was a little oily, but decent. The rigatoni was well cooked and the sauce had good flavor. The bread was slightly stale and dry, nothing special. Overall solid meal.

The food and ambiance here is is a combination of fancy and cozy. The chicken piccata my son got and the chicken pilliard I got were amazing. So rich and delicious. The service was attentive and everyone was super friendly. We were just driving through from Newark into New York, but if in the area, I'd totally come here again. View menu

One of my favorite go-to spots to meet up with friends and coworkers The food is consistently impeccable! You get a good ol ' nostalgic vibe as if you are sitting at the table with The Godfather . This restaurant is small and quaint! I 'm a huge fan of the small circular booths and the bar of course. Every time you go there you will be warmly greeted by Jessica and Angelo! There is complimentary bruschetta that 's to die for!! I 'm visiting in NJ and have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I was craving the francese!!! Also enjoyed was the rosemary ribeye, arugula salad, Caesar salad, Linguine with white clams, Chicken Scarpiello, and a salmon dish!! Everything. AMAZING!

This is an old school spot, with old school charm. Something right out of central casting for 1950's movie. The food was great! We had Beef Carpaccio and a Capreses salad, they served the balsamic and olive oil on the side. Both appetizers were very well done. For entrees we had the tortellini de Nonna and the pompano special. The tortellini were so creamy and good. The pompano was maybe a little over done, crispy on pan sear, and near the tail crunchy, still tasty and served with broccoli rabe that was cooked very well, not crunchy and not mushy as it can get if you cook it a min to long. Dessert we split was the strawberry and banana creapes they were spectacular. Our server was great too.

"We have been regular customers at this restaurant for a few years, to the point where he staff know us and even what drinks we like. We went there on a Friday night expecting a nice experience as usual. I was dismayed to see a table of about 10 people sitting up front. This was a bad omen, as the kitchen and the staff can never keep up with the other tables when there is a large group in a relatively small restaurant. Happens every time. We were seated and got some drinks. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu and described the hanger steak as a skirt steak, which it is not. I asked about the Provencal onion tart, and whether is was similar to a quiche, she replied, yes. It arrived and was a pile of sautéed onions, resembling worms, sitting in a dessert tart shell (very sweet, not savory). Nothing like what we discussed. I could not eat it. She saw this and didn't offer me anything in it's place. We ordered drinks to have with our appetizers but they didn't arrive until after the plates were cleared so I was stuck with a martini to have with my entrée. The duck confit was smothered to death in a thick heavy wine sauce with way too many mushrooms. Dessert was basically a slice of banana bread drowned in chocolate sauce. Our server was covering too many tables and not attentive to us at all. She seemed about 16 years old. The owner made her rounds to say to everyone but ignored us, regular customers. The anniversary price fixe menu had a supplemental price on over 50% of the items, including the terrible onion tart which contained no ingredients that would warrant a supplement. Just raise the price $5 instead of charging extra for almost everything. We will not return, as they made no attempt to make things right for us. What a waste of time and money. This place is getting old and worn out and too lax about lousy service. Service is everything."
