"This is the third Mexican restaurant we've tried since moving to the Weatherford/Hudson Oaks area. You know what they say: Third time's a charm. The service was fast and friendly. Our waiter was attentive, yet not intrusive. He brought our margaritas in a reasonable amount of time for a Friday night at 5 p.m. The complementary chips and salsa were good, but if you don't like anything spicy, I'd probably just order some queso. My wife had the shrimp enchiladas, which she said were delicious. And I really enjoyed my cowboy enchiladas. Overall, we were both very satisfied with this restaurant and plan to come back on date nights."

It was a very short wait time for our food when the very sweet staff took our order. As other customers got up to leave once they finished eating, the staff was quick to clear the plates and clean the tables. Wonderful experience and would definitely return.

We really wish we had discovered La Playa Maya sooner. For over four years, we've been passing by it at least once a week, but the building didn't catch our eye. However, once you step inside, you find a lovely atmosphere with great decor. The food is delicious and fairly priced, with generous portions that taste homemade. The service was outstanding; even with a full house, our meals came out of the kitchen quickly.

The service here is consistently outstanding! The food is always delicious, and the drinks are equally great! We enjoy sitting at the bar when it’s available, but even if it’s full, the service at the tables is always exceptional! The fajitas are fantastic, and the guacamole is a must-try! The ceviche is also one of my favorites (as shown in the picture)! I’m looking forward to trying the table-side flaming queso next! View menu

We had a lovely dinner on an early Friday evening. It wasn't busy when we arrived, but by the time we left, it was starting to fill up. The chips were standard, but the salsa was quite good, although it did have a bit of a kick at times. We ordered the shrimp fajitas for two, which were more than enough and quite tasty. The shrimp was a little overcooked, but that's somewhat expected when served in a hot cast iron pan. My wife enjoyed a margarita, and overall, we will definitely be returning!
