"The quality of the baked goods was exceptional. The modern, French aesthetic blended beautifully with the overall Upper East Side atmosphere. Although it was a bit pricey, if you enjoy delicious pastries, it is worth it. The restaurant was consistently busy for seating, but the line to leave was short. The staff was helpful, and the atmosphere was upscale (which is the whole point of the establishment)."

Excellent place for brunch. Fresh pastries and French creations. Croissant was fluffy and buttery. Excellent fillings with generous amount of ham and cheese.

Beautiful French style bakery and cafe, bright and welcoming. Great food and a variety of deserts. We tried the dark chocolate mousse cake with passion fruit and it was delicious! View menu

Although this is a chain, it is very delicious French food! We loved our brunch so much that we ate in another place for dinner. You don't serve alcohol, but you can bring yourself. Something a victory situation!

Even though this restaurant is part of a chain, the French food is incredibly delicious! We enjoyed our brunch so much that we decided to try a different location for dinner. While they don't serve alcohol, you are allowed to bring your own. It's a bit of a win-win situation!

I highly recommend this restaurant at MET. The waiters were extremely helpful and friendly. They assisted us in choosing some delicious dishes. The coffee, food, and dessert were all excellent. We had a wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend this place for breakfast. View menu

Great for what it is. There’s not too much to say about the service, but their bread and food is excellent. I didn’t expect the chicken in poulet and quinoa salad to be diced, but nevertheless a satisfying dish. I planned to only have 1 piece of the baguette but failed miserably. Comforting place, never fails.

Quality of baked goods was amazing. Very modern, French, fit in nicely with the overal UES vibe. Definitely overpriced, but if you appreciate pretty good pastries, worth the price. Quite busy for seating all the time, but the line for take out is very short. Staff was helpful, ambience was snobby (and the whole point of the place IS to be snobby).

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
