"For a white table cloth dining experience, I expected more. Service was average at best. There is nothing to write home about but not the bottom of the barrel. The restaurant was not busy, yet our water glasses ran empty, plates and silverware not cleared from the table, and wine glasses for the table were not given. (We had a bottle of wine for the table) The restaurant was humid and very warm. I am not sure if the AC was working. Then there were flies and fruit flies that we were, pretty consistently, swatting. Wine selection was descent while the spirit selection was lacking. However, the experienced bar tender made due and crafted excellent drinks. I was disappointed, overall, with the food. The bread and pasta were fantastic, the elk was over seasoned, octopus was overcooked, bruscetta pieces were so large that they had to be split into thirds. Our vegetables with the elk were leftovers from who knows where. The presentation of our plates looked as if the chef had just come from their first job and decided to cook for the evening. For a $400 tab, with 5 guests, I would have expected a dinner salad or soup before our entre. Overall, extremely underwhelming for a white table cloth dinner. It was definitely an experience."
