"I've been a loyal patron of Martiniello's for quite some time and used to really love their pizza. Unfortunately, that’s not the case anymore. On my latest visit, I ordered two slices with extra pepperoni, but to my surprise, they added an excessive amount of cheese that I neither wanted nor asked for. It completely overwhelmed the flavor. I had to take off the pepperoni, remove all the cheese, and then put the pepperoni back on just to make it enjoyable. Please refrain from adding extra cheese unless a customer specifically requests it!"

Their martinelo special pie is the best... I never had anything else ... Yum! one of the only authentic Italian pizzeria left in queens Update: it got sold years ago but the pizza recipe seems to be very similar

I ordered baked gnocchi, and it was undercooked. When I called the restaurant, they told me they weren't sure how gnocchi was supposed to be. This wasn't my first time trying it, and it has never been creamy or slimy like this before.

Awful experience. Ever since the Italian owner left and the Mexican team took over, this place has gone downhill. It's shameful to even call this pizza. The mozzarella tastes canned, and the tomato sauce is definitely from a can as well. It's horrible. This was the last great pizza place in the area, and now it's ruined. Pizza Sam is overpriced, and the next decent option is all the way near 82nd. They should be embarrassed to serve this to customers.
