"Marti reopened in the French Quarter after Hurricane Katrina, located a bit off the main tourist path. This has made it challenging for the restaurant to establish its identity. With the ongoing construction of the new Rampart streetcar line, the situation seems even more precarious. However, with a new chef and an exceptional menu, I believe this restaurant deserves to thrive. The construction is expected to finish within the next year, and I sincerely hope that locals will continue to support Marti to ensure its survival. The restaurant is a treasured piece of New Orleans history, featuring a stunning dining room and atmosphere that's hard to beat. Plus, it boasts a fantastic bar with happy hour specials and a freshly crafted menu from the new chef, offering expertly prepared and delicious food. I strongly encourage all visitors to explore the Rampart corridor and try Marti for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend it, and as a local, I truly believe it’s worth a visit!"
