"Your better off going to get a shwarma!Would give overall 2.3 out of 5 star ratingWe have gone to MEAT in the past and its been an amazing experience, probably one of the best kosher in the city. I say PAST bc this was one of the worst kosher fine dining experiences we’ve ever had.For starters, the whole menu has been redone since our last visit, much of the charm has been removed.Appetizers- Bucatini think spaghetti pasta was ok and probably the best of all dishes- Polpete meatballs were not great. Tasted like takeout from a supermarket counter.Entree-Short rib really brisket bc they didnt have real short ribs and Hangar steak both came out cold. Odd but ok so we asked staff to heat up. Again came out warm but quickly turned cold. We think it was put in a microwave bc plate was HOT but food was uneven temp.Manager came out apologized and said some none sense that its normal for the dishes to cool off quickly but they will re-do both dishes. We stepped outside for some fresh air and came back to a table with our dirty plates and “re-done” entrees sitting on the table. We thought they would reset to present nicely. The hangar steak was redone and not bad, overpriced at $75 though.Short rib aka brisket was not redone, same as before and looked rather unappealing bc they didn’t properly replate. Just took the slab of meat heated it up somehow then plopped it right back in to the now 3 time reheated bed of mashed potatoes.Sides:Mushrooms were good.Fries were average but advertised as served with “house made spicy ketchup”.Instead we got Heinz, honestly no complaints there as i love Heinz with my fries and the taste is undeniable but they should be honest with their patrons.Staff was nice and pleasant but nothing like previous visits when you truly felt a fine dining experience.Dirty dishes were not removed promptly. Finally after all this we had to ask 3 times for the check as it took 20-30 minutes.Total cost of dinner $400 including tax and automatic gratuity of 20"
