"If you're looking for pure comfort food and a family owned and operated business, look no more. Melanies welcomed hubby and I with open arms and made us feel right at home for our first time trying West Indian food. We started with the potato balls and some shrimp... So much flavor. The potato balls came with a mango chutney or dip that was so delicious and paired perfectly. The chicken curry had so much flavor and truly was a comfort meal. Along with the mixed rice which came with a mix of shrimp, pork, and I believe steak. The portions were so generous and the drinks were strong but in a good way. There was a live DJ as we were dining which totally set a great vibe for a date night. This is definitely a must try and I can't wait to come back for more."

I've been here a few times and the food is amazing! I had the j chicken fried rice and the appetizer was pholourie, which is so good with the spicy mango sauce. Plus I had an amaretto sour to complete the meal.Food: 5/5 View menu

The chicken Roti, I believe is the best I’ve had in NYC!!!! PERIODT! I’ve only ordered for pickup but the customer service via the phone is always so friendly!!!! I can’t wait to find time to visit the restaurant for a dine In experience.

Today was my first visit. I ordered j chicken with rice and beans. The chicken is spicy (like I like it and the rice is soft and. The chicken was all dark meat which I didn’t mind either. I also had a whisky sour and margarita while I waited. They have happy hour on Sundays (although the whisky sour didn’t qualify. This was worth the 15 minute walk from home in my new neighborhood. I’ll be back. Note: I ate half of the chicken before taking the picture.

Customer service is terrible. I called the restaurant because my food was wrong. Spoke to the owners son (very rude) who first told me he would be able to replace my meal. Then he called back stating he can not give me a new order and that he would have to charge me for the original orders price. but only give me the chicken. I was very upset because I called and spoke to a women (owners daughter) to place my order. when I shared this wasn’t my fault and should be charged I was basically told oh well. and was hung up on by the son. once again I’m a very very loyal customer to this restaurant and was VERY disappointed!!!! I asked how much Hennessy is per shot, the bartender said $10. I then asked for a Hennessy Margarita and the guy at the bar took at least 5 minutes to make it. After I drank it, he then gives me a bill for $21.30I asked how is it this much, and he says cause it’s two shots of Hennessy. I didn’t ask for a double shot drink but was still forced to pay.
