"food was bad, service was terrible (our waiters were not friendly and kept forgetting the things we asked for; they also took forever to seat us despite the fact that we had a reservation). it was so loud and the staff was too crazy. they kept yelling and we couldnt hear the people at our own table talk and kept dropping kitchenware. the worst thing was that they were not personable or even nice to us which is the bare minimum. i likely will not recommend the place to anyone."

The food was very different from your run of the mill Tex-Mex, it was fresh and delicious. Service was 5 star especially for a lively Saturday night. Would definitely recommend

We really enjoyed celebrating a special anniversary there, the food and service was excellent! It was very loud because it was full of TCU students but they were fun to watch, just no holding on a conversation. View menu

Mesero’s food and service are always excellent! This is one of my favorite places to eat out! I love their spicy guac, all of their drinks, and the mole enchiladas. And their cinco leches cake is the best cake ever!

With the exception of the hostess who was rather prickly, and somewhat abrasive, was a good Dining experience. Perhaps the person Who makes the initial contact with the client should be pleasant and personable. Unfiltered: the hostess was as rude as a dam royal b.

Our table was ready at reservation time even though very busy. Could not hear server for noise this place is LOUD so sit outside if you want to hear anything! Server was attentive and efficient; food was good although served barely warm. We would go back and would recommend. View menu

Generally a good food at a good price. Service seemed erratic and slow. Background music was too loud, causing everyone at the restaurant to shout to be heard. Finally, bathroom stall in men's did not flush needs to be fixed right away (and probably will be). Bathroom cleaning needs more attention.

Our service was less than desirable. It took some time to get our orders in and a drink order was completely missed. The chicken on multiple dishes had such a lack of flavor it was surprising. The guacamole was also very bland, basically mashed avocados with no seasoning or lime. Next time we will go to Mi Cocina, Blue Goose, Gloria’s, or Anamia’s.

"On my first visit, I tried the Southern Shrimp and Grits, which were simply amazing—stone-ground cheese grits topped with sautéed shrimp, enhanced by a flavorful mix of peppers and bacon. Chef Jeff and his team use fresh sirloin in their chili, and it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The food is exceptional, and the concept behind it is truly inspiring. I now volunteer here regularly. Chef Jeff and his wife, Julie, have a mission: "Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so that they may 'taste and see that the Lord is good'” (Psalm 34:8). Customers can choose to: 1) pay what they can afford, 2) pay the standard price for a similar restaurant, or 3) pay a little extra to help those who are less fortunate. This creates a beautiful and fulfilling experience. They are open for lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. If you’re pressed for time, I recommend making a reservation and letting the hostess know. Diners are seated using a "paced method" to ensure the volunteer staff isn’t overwhelmed, but any wait is certainly worth it! Be sure to try the pour-over coffee or refreshing lemonade, and sample small plates like bruschetta or farro salad, as well as main dishes such as the apple bacon sandwich, crispy potatoes, burgers, shrimp and grits, and chili. And don’t overlook the dessert—it’s indulgent! I can’t express enough how much I adore this place!"
