"It was obvious they had just lost their full liquor license (I assume serving underage kids because they checked both of our IDs and we are obviously in our 30’s haven’t been carded in years) so the main reason we came their incredible sounding cocktail menu was out the door right away. I wish this had been told to us beforehand because I would have booked elsewhere and came back. The food was so so, I’d say less appetizing than I could cook at home. I am the type of person who looks down on restaurants that have salt and pepper on the table it says to me that they know their chef can’t season properly but when we got our food I quickly asked my partner to grab the salt off a table nearby. It was necessary. Lamb was a bit over done, but the main issue was that it was mostly bone. I don’t understand why I paid over $30 for 2oz of dry lamb. My boyfriend’s steak medallions were so so. They looked cooked properly, but when I asked for a bite I immediately said “oh my gosh. How is it this DRY?” Turns out they high seared it to death on both sides as their method of leaving the middle pink, so it looked medium rare but was basically two thin we’ll done steaks sandwiching a mid rare steak. We had planned on getting dessert but didn’t end up ordering after our entrees came out so poorly. The staff is super friendly, but they cant overcome a bad kitchen, almost fully eliminated bar, and our server was also the hostess and had to answer the phones all night. We just moved here from Cincinnati and this was our first restaurant in Spring Hill. In general, I’d say this place could have been having a bad day. But for the money, I wouldn’t recommend anyone try it out"

Food was awful. Very long wait for very bad food. Most was not eatable.

We were disappointed . The house is interesting but was not well heated and it was a chilly evening. The food, while very tasty, was served lukewarm. They were out of rice, lobster and lamb and this was on a Wednesday night.

The space had great character and the food was poor. Everyone's food was cold. Two meals were almost raw when well done was ordered. One person in our party became ill about an hour after our meal. The wait staff appeared rude and rushed and never came to check on our table to refill beverages or see if we needed anything. View menu

Service was fantastic. We were seated quickly. Waiter came by, introduced himself and explained the fixe priced St Valentine's Day menu options. Room had good ambiance with a fireplace. Background music was at a good volume. Food courses were services quickly. All of the courses tasted great. Dessert was fabulous. Would recommend them based on our experience. Was one of the best St. Valentine's Day experiences we have ever had!!

A bit disappointing, came in at 530pm for dinner. My wife ordered the Salomon medium and came well and dry, i had liver and onions and it was cut thin, dry and very tough, our friends , one had the liver and only had a couple of bites and one had Spicy shrimp and was delicious.... 25% success rate is pretty poor. The waiter was neglectful and we had to flail our arms to get attention. They must have been short staffed but still I wouldn't spend that kind of money there again. The bar was nice and the fried green tomatoes appetizer was delicious. Good luck !!

Do NOT eat here! No one greeted us at the reception, we had to find someone to get us seated for our reservation. We waited 20 minutes for someone to ask for our drinks and appetizer. Everything we ordered they were out of. Finally settled on a beer and soda water. Beer served warm, appetizer seemed like it was microwaved definitely fresh, bread was stale. Horrible service and food. We will never eat here again. It’s unfortunate because it’s a beautiful setting and has so much potential, it felt like all care and motivation has been lost by the employees and possibly the owner. View menu

Well, instead of our usual Nashville dinner outing for Valentine’s Day, we decided to stay local. Went to Mockingbird. Dinner for two included appetizer, salad, main course and dessert. Appetizer: Piece of thin sliced bread with 2 shrimps. This was for both of us. Salad; looked like weeds. Main: Waiter: “beef or chicken” Me: “what cut of beef?” Waiter: “ I don’t know, but the chicken is a hen thing.” He checked with mgr and it was a petite filet. We had that. I also learned a new way to say au gratin. I guess it’s pronounced ‘ee-you greeten.’ He didn’t know the bad winter-garden vegetable medley. (What the heck is a winter garden vegetable medley anyway? Dessert: 1 piece of chocolate pie for...

We came in to celebrate my son‘s 27th birthday. We had looked at their menu online and found exactly what wanted to eat so it would make it easier for us. There were eight of us there total. We had picked out some really cool cocktails that they had on their menu. And we got there they said they didn’t have their liquor license until April 1 because they forgot to pay some fees? That was a bummer. No liquor, beer or wine. Over 4%. They were also out of a lot of food items. My husband was excited to try their lamb and they were out of that. They are also out of another dish that my son was going to get and they were also out of rice. The food was pretty good. The shrimp and grits was definite...

"We started with the fig and goat cheese bruschetta, and I ordered the Truffle Gnocchi while my husband chose the special: Veal Wild Boar Bolognese. They brought us a basket of freshly baked bread accompanied by a butter that seemed infused with rosemary and basil—oh my, I could have just eaten that bread and butter all day! The bruschetta bread was slightly overcooked, but the flavor combination of fig, goat cheese, and arugula was fantastic. My gnocchi was rich, creamy, and melted in my mouth. The flavor was perfectly balanced and left me wanting more. The Veal Wild Boar Bolognese was also a flavor sensation! The meats were so tender they literally melted in our mouths. I really appreciated the Bolognese; the seasoning was spot-on, and I honestly can’t recall the last time I had Italian food where there wasn’t a pool of water or oil separating from the sauce. This sauce was just right. To top off our delightful meal, we ordered a couple of cannoli to take home for later. Even after a three-hour car ride and sitting on our counter for a few hours, the shells maintained their perfect crispness, and the filling wasn’t overly sweet. I have to say, their cannoli reminded me of Mike’s Pastry in Boston—a rarity for cannoli! The staff was friendly and attentive, greeting us right away and ensuring we were well taken care of without being intrusive. The décor was minimal yet inviting, and the restaurant was very clean and cozy. I’ve seen several reviews mentioning noise levels, and while it did get louder as more patrons arrived and music started playing outside, I thought it was reflective of the vibrant atmosphere typically found in Italian restaurants. After all, where in Italy would you find a quiet eatery? It’s all part of the experience of living and enjoying life! For those who prefer a milder dining experience, Olive Garden is just down the road. I highly recommend Frankie’s to anyone seeking great food and an authentic Italian experience in the U.S.!"
