"We 've been going to this restaurant since it opened a zillion years ago, but this was only our second time back since the pandemic. We enjoy the patio, but it 's gotten so popular that reservations are an issue. The teenage greeter looked like she 'd rather have a different job, so I suggest she get one. The food was fine. Nice to see the Sautéed Sea Scallops still on the menu. The special French Onion Soup was terrible, however, and shouldn 't have been served. Their current cheeseboard is very, very good, but I wish they had a smaller version. My wife loved her Chicken Taquito, while my Duck Prosciutto Crostini was, frankly, forgettable. I needed a steak knife to cut the crostini. The hangar steak salad was OK. The pleasant surprise of the evening was dessert, which was a Heath Bar cheesecake."

As usual, a great friendly staff and varied menu. Flower arrangements on each table is a very special touch. Outdoor patio is wonderful on a lovely day or evening

This is a place to be enjoyed outdoor on the deck or patio. It is very serene. Our server was lovely and attentive. The food we ate was outstanding, including the hangar steak and the pork tenderloin. Try one of the flavored iced coffees for dessert.

We celebrated our anniversary at Monocacy Crossing last night and it was wonderful. From the nice note waiting at our table wish us a happy anniversary to the excellent service to the delicious food. This was our fifth time eating there and it’s always been a great experience. View menu

All six diners enjoyed their main courses. The apps were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Our server, Josie, was attentive without being overbearing. She was knowledgeable regarding the food as well as the wine and cocktails. We enjoyed her pleasant bantering and hope to return soon.

We went to this restaurant hoping for a nice family outdoor lunch on a Friday at noon. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the hostess informed us that they were not accepting walk-ins, despite there being two open tables outside and several available inside. She was rather rude in brushing us off. It was our fault for not making a reservation, but we decided to check OpenTable on our phone and saw that reservations were available in 20 minutes and throughout the afternoon. It would have been helpful if the hostess had mentioned this option or informed us of the wait time. The poor customer service left a bad taste in our mouths, so we didn't bother making a reservation and left instead. Overall...

"Today was my first time eating at Thacher Rye and I’m ecstatic to say it was not be my last. I stumbled upon the restaurant after a quick Google search that screamed “EAT HERE” There are many places suggested for best brunch in Frederick and I’ve tried many of them; Jojo’s, Nola, Up on Market St and Hootch and Banter (to name a few and nothing, I mean nothing, compares to the service and quality of food as Thacher Rye. Immediately upon entering I was concerned that I was under dressed since I had just came up to get a beard trim and was dressed in athletic wear. The extremely handsome and very friendly Jordan, who greeted me with the kindest smile ever, assured me that I was ok. He gave me a quick tour of the dining room (which is so beautiful, like the entire building and we decided to sit at the bar with the incredibly charismatic and stunning Hannah! Hannah was multitasking like crazy all while making incredible eye contact and killing the customer service game. Chick Fil A should send their employees to Hannah for training! I had kind of made my mind up with what I was going to eat and after hearing Hannah’s suggestions, I stuck with what I wanted. Which was a mistake. Always listen to the employees!!! Now don’t get me wrong, my food was incredible, but now I can’t stop dreaming of Shakshuka. I did decide to add the Grits which are the best I’ve had anywhere outside of Atlanta. What a treat to discover this restaurant today. Now I just need a nap Thanks to everyone who made my first time eating here so incredible!!"
