The most delicious pizza I have ever eaten! Thin, crispy and soft at the same time! Very friendly staff. Better service and better pizza. Thank you. Coming back from hiking, I now know where to go for delicious pizza.

Some of the best pizza we’ve had in a long time. Loved the pillowy crust. Our server (whose name I sadly forget) was awesome. Super attentive, friendly, and even took our picture for us. My mom is hard of hearing and loved that the acoustics allowed her to hear the conversation.

Great pizza! We especially liked the Margaretta pizza which was crisp and had roasted garlic which made it better than the average. Service was friendly and we got a free pizza because they made a mistake with our order. The pie was also huge and comfortably fed four people. The restaurant itself was large, spacious and inviting. I love their pizza! Truly one of the best pizzas I've had in the 21 years I've lived in this area. The service is great. Alexis J is very attentive and checks on us regularly and keeps the Diet Coke coming. But most impressive is that she remembered us after only one previous visit!! She remembered what we ordered. Excellent customer service. Will go back over and over again.

Wonderful place. Great food. Outstanding staff. Welcoming to all. Family friendly. I’ll visit every chance I get. If you’re going to eat it Morganton this is where you go. They deserve 10 stars. I personally want to meet the owner and shake their hand. I grew up in this town and can’t tell you how grateful I am to have such an accepting and open minded business. Never thought it would happen. I hope they thrive and grow for many years to come.

Thanks to informal recommendations from several local friends—one of whom even insisted that his parents host their wedding rehearsal dinner at Moondog Pizza—I was excited to try it for myself. It absolutely lived up to the hype. They serve the ideal thin crust pizza, which can be topped with their fantastic specialty combinations or customized with your choices. Best pizza place in town! Always great tasting, and the service is always amazing no matter who serves you, especially the lady with face tattoo. Went there tonight and ordered some food.. there was a bit of a wait, due to them being understaffed; but every business experiences that at some point or another. Literally only waited 15 extra minutes and the waitress (tattoo lady) was extremely apologetic for the wait, which was totally not necessary. Great place over all, love the food, the people, and the overall atmosphere.

The pizza was soggy and unappetizing. The wait for our food was absurd, especially since we only ordered three items. Almost everyone who arrived after us received their meals long before we did; some diners had already finished and were leaving by the time ours finally arrived. This place is also significantly overpriced. You could overhear the kitchen staff behaving unprofessionally. We waited 20 to 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged that we were waiting to be seated, and it took another customer going into the kitchen to inform them about us. On a brighter note, our waitress was exceptional—she deserves five stars, while the kitchen earns just one.

What happened?! We've had many pizzas from Moondog, but the last several times have been very disappointing. I have a gluten allergy have always ordered their GF pizza. First off, I hate that places have an upcharge for GF. It's a slap in the face for people who have an allergy and just want to eat normal food. But when you pay a $3 upcharge for GF pizza, you at least expect to have toppings and whatever the base is cover the pizza!!!! You see all the pictures everyone else has posted of their pizza, the toppings are filling the pizza. So is the sauce. Whyyy do our GF pizzas fall so short?! We always order 2 pizzas, that becomes over $50 with a tip. I don't know about anyone else, but $50 is... View menu
