On top of having brewed iced tea (a rarity in the NEK in my experience), they offered a great selection of standard US breakfast and lunch choices (we enjoyed a solid BLT, excellent onion rings, and an delicious barnyard skillet), a beautiful view, and top-notch service. "I have eaten from the house of pizza for more than 20 years and I have never been served a snack bar hamburger patty before not only did I get a snack bar hamburger patty I got nasty french fries and paid roughly $15 for the burger at the positive pie with a burger for around this price that is 8 oz of fresh local beef with nice homemade french fries why you think you can serve a snack bar burger patty and cheap bag french fries for like 15 bucks is beyond me please don't eat here you'll be disappointed"

"I was shocked to find a pizza place on par with one you would find in Manhattan in such a small town. The local beer selection was on par with what you would find in Detroit (I mean look at that map! Amazing! Great atmosphere and watching Italy win the Eurocup just made the experience that much better. For those interested, there is an airbnb right above it."

"We had a party of 4 and all four felt the food was below expectations. Our most serious complaint comes from the kitchen’s apparent lack of knowledge concerning the ingredients in the dishes. One member of our party has a somewhat unique food allergy. Because of this they carry a card detailing exactly what spices cause an allergic reaction and the issue is throughly discussed with the wait staff (in many restaurants either the kitchen or management become involved at the table before the order is placed). The card was presented to the individual waiting on us and was taken to the kitchen. The kitchen indicated to the wait person there should be no problem with the menu item selected. When the dish was presented, the individual with the allergy tested a very small portion of the Balsamic glaze and immediately had a very intense reaction. Based on years of experience, the intensity of the reaction came from use of an allergen (spice) in the glaze rather than cross contamination. The dish was taken away and we were not charged. The wait staff was very apologetic and did their best—clearly this was a new experience for which there was no training. There was absolutely no contact from the restaurant kitchen or management. Very disappointing."

"What a fantastic little bakery! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is simply delicious. I noticed a lovely piece of artwork on the wall featuring the perfect quote: "Meals and memories are made here." A friend introduced me to this gem, reminiscing about her first visit to Connie's original kitchen, which she mentioned at least five times before we finally made it to Hardwick. I had to check it out, and Connie's Kitchen did not disappoint. This is my third visit this week! Today, I enjoyed a mouthwatering roast beef sandwich with cheddar and a garlic avocado spread on oatmeal molasses toast, aptly named the Green Donkey. The spread was creamy without being overpowering with garlic. Some may argue that the prices are a bit high, but when you consider the homemade touch that goes into creating such deliciousness, it's definitely worth it.
