"So I ordered a chicken fried rice because I saw one of their flyers at my apartment building, now I’ll be honest I went in there and it was empty. Not any customers and it lunch time, and I know why now the food is not just bad it’s like nothing the chicken was so pale and white and it didn’t even smell like chicken! There was no egg on my rice, the place is not ugly it’s pretty clean looking, but there is one major issue. The food is not good I can make a chicken fried rice better at my home, and if I can do a better job at home why wouldI ever order form here again? Instead of focusing on passing out flyers maybe focus on making good quality food, and people will come back to eat here. That is my advice."

Overall the food is pretty good, there are some items that are better than others on the menu. But overall I'm very satisfied with this place Food: 3/5

I don’t know if they have a new cook there, but the orange chicken was hard as a rock and very little sauce on it. We won’t be ordering from there anymore.

Fantastic chinese food, especially for the price. $6 lunch specials with large servings, and the delivery drivers are always so sweet!! Support local business! An absolute hidden gem View menu

The food was good, freshly made and hot. Call in order was ready when I arrived. Friendly staff. I would eat there again, not bad. $40 for 4 entrees not bad. The egg rolls were not the best but edible.

I ordered the sweet and sour pork lunch special, and the portions were generous enough for two people. This came with the option of soup or a spring roll, and I opted for the spring roll. The food was delicious and served hot. Overall, I would rate it 5 out of 5!

The restaurant itself looked decent and was clean, but there’s one major problem: the food quality. I could easily make a better chicken fried rice at home. If I can do a better job in my own kitchen, there’s no reason for me to order from here again. Instead of just distributing flyers, I suggest they focus on improving the quality of their food; then they might get more customers. That's my two cents. View menu

I ordered Szechuan beef, boneless ribs and wonton soup. Honestly the wonton soup was the only item I was satisfied with. I could tell this place uses low quality meat. Like other people have said it was very chewy and soggy. Not impressed. Chinese food in AZ always seems to suck. But this place is one of the worst. Last thing, this place is constantly sticking their menus to everybody’s door at my apartment complex. Not cool

When our food arrived, we were quite disappointed. My friend's egg drop soup was enjoyable, but her sweet and sour chicken was lacking vegetables, which she had expected. There was a large container of sweet and sour sauce that we didn't order, along with an excessive amount of rice that was more than enough to share. My sesame chicken was bland and dry, missing the sauce or glaze I’ve come to expect at other Chinese restaurants. The crab puffs were also quite plain, and we didn’t even receive fortune cookies. Overall, we were really let down and won’t be dining here again.

"i’ve been coming to lacuna for over two years now and this little gem is definitely one of my favorite places to be. i’m not much of a review-writer, but when i feel passionately about places (good or bad , i get inspired.as someone who leads an alcohol-free lifestyle, it is SO nice having this option to unwind and create some art, relax, or hang out with friends. i’ve truly made so many wonderful connections through lacuna that i will cherish for a lifetime!it’s also a great place to get work done. i work remote, so i spend a good majority of my week here at my second office ; the BOGO happy hour deal comes in clutch.i think it’s really great that there is a mix of events now too, not just strictly DJ’s performing 6-7 nights a week. (although i do absolutely love the nights when there’s a DJ as well ! the variety of events is great; chess tournaments, community coloring, workshops, recovery groups, massages, yoga etc. there’s been a lot of engaging activities that i enjoy attending or participating in.i feel like lacuna has become a lot stronger in both the workspace and community-front in the last year or so too. the kavatenders all have such a warm and positive energy and always make me feel special when i come in. it’s nice seeing management interacting with customers and staff more too. it’s nice overhearing the positive feedback from management to staff (or staff to staff , and hearing the conversations that the staff members have with guests. there just seems to be a lot more connection overall. lacuna is growing and glowing for sure. <3the price increase is a bit of a bummer, but in a time with inflation… what can you really do? i personally TRUST lacuna with their product and that’s what keeps me coming back. i know they put both quality and care into their products and it really reflects. it can be a pretty penny if you’re getting multiple drinks, but fancy craft cocktails at a regular bar can be the same way. plus, my points add up so quickly i get pretty frequent discounts with their reward system. it’s not the end of the world!i appreciate the subtle changes in the bar layout and decor too. even the little things keep it feeling fresh and a little new each time you come in.the *only* “negative” thing i have to say about the space is that it can be difficult to order a drink or close out a tab sometimes. there’s rushes and it gets busy, but sometimes it feels as if one staff member just isn’t enough during these times. sometimes there’s not a lot of communication about this either between staff and people trying to close out, but i’ve been coming here for awhile now so i know what to expect. if you’re in a time crunch, just give yourself a little buffer or cushion of time to get closed out (or order to go right off the bat and close out immediately .all things considered, though, 5 stars all the way around! lacuna is an ever-evolving, ever-growing spot and i’m excited to see what the future looks like for you guys! : bulaaaa!!!!"
