"A Memorable Celebration at Nerai for Mom 's 80th Birthday Last weekend, we celebrated my mother 's 80th birthday at Nerai and it was an experience we 'll cherish forever. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warm ambiance that set the tone for the evening. The restaurant 's decor, with its elegant lighting and tasteful furnishings, created a serene environment that was exactly what we were hoping for. What stood out the most was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring our comfort throughout the meal. They even surprised us with a special birthday treat for Mom, which was a thoughtful gesture that made her feel extra special. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a masterpiece, both in presentation and taste. The menu offered a variety of options catering to different preferences, and every dish we tried was cooked to perfection. The flavors were balanced and the ingredients were obviously high-quality. One of the highlights was the restaurant 's ability to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. Despite being busy, it never felt crowded or noisy. This allowed us to enjoy our conversations and truly celebrate this milestone birthday in a relaxed setting. In summary, Nerai exceeded our expectations in every way. It provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening filled with delicious food, exceptional service, and a tranquil ambiance. It was an absolute delight to celebrate such a special occasion here, and we 're already looking forward to our next visit."

The most delicious pasta I've ever eaten. Highly recommended!!! However it is too slow and the service is not so good.

Nice outdoor seating, more attractive and comfy than most. Delicious food, a twist on traditions. Huge portions and prices up there, too.

Nerai offers a first-class escape to the glittering Mediterranean right in Midtown Manhattan. A visionary concept where sustenance of body and spirit converge beautifully. I'll be back soon to bask in Greece's flavors once more! View menu

The restaurant is a pleasant, white cloth establishment. The food is, properly portioned though not filling. The taste of my Kakavia was enjoyable. The zucchini chips were greasy. The mousse was very nice. However, the waiter was distasteful. An angry man who looked down upon me at every chance. He did not let me enjoy my time there. He actually ruined my meal. I left with a foul taste in my gut.

Nerai is gorgeous. From the moment you enter the doors, you're greeted with warmth and kindness. I dined with my family including my elderly mother, and the service was so helpful and accommodating while not being stifling. The food was incredible. This might have been one of the best lamb chops I've had in NYC. The whole roasted fish was fresh and cooked perfectly, I could eat it for every meal. Thank you Nerai, we will be back!

Food here was so good it was mind blowing. I’m shocked there wasn’t a line to get in because this is some of the best Greek food in the city. I’m gluten free and the waiter recommended the salmon with a lemon spinach rice, which was amazing and can’t stop thinking about, and some other dishes, and noted almost all the seafood was celiac safe. There are tons of gluten free options. The mushroom and spinach sides are also gluten free as well as the salads sans croutons, so is the raw bar. They also recommended a Greek organe wine that was so delicious I need to save the name. I’m definitely coming back and trying more on the menu because it’s definitely worth returning! View menu

Nerai is amazing- elevated Greek food in NYC. From the moment you enter the doors, you're greeted with warmth and kindness. I dined with my family including my elderly mother, and the service was so helpful and accommodating while not being stifling. We ate inside, but the outside seating looks magical, definitely would have opted for an outdoor table if I was with friends. The food was incredible. "We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
