"My buddy brought me to experience a classic 'sconni fish fry and this place didn 't disappoint. Glad I was with experienced friends as I would have had no idea I needed to know what to order as I walked in. Got to sit at the insanely classic bar and drink classic supper club drinks. Then once our table was ready, we moved over and had a top notch dinner. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection. Frys were as well. Had some blueberry cheesecake and that was amazing too. Definitely a neat experience, walk in order at the door. Grab a seat at the bar and relax. When the food is ready, they send you to a table in the dining room. Walleye was Fantastic, light and flaky. I've been visiting the Nite Cap Inn for nearly 50 years, and without a doubt, it's the best fish fry and potato pancakes you can find anywhere. It truly embodies a slice of Wisconsin Americana. The trip to the small town of Palmyra is absolutely worth it. Just don't expect anything flashy; the focus here is solely on the delicious food and the friendly people. We enjoyed two of the German dishes, great cocktails and Key Lime cheesecake. Service was excellent, even though there were only 2-3 staff people. Disappointed the bar wasn’t open and busy, but I know post COVID issues still are around. Thought it was a very good value. We’ve enjoyed the fish fry in the past, as well.
