"Read a lot of positive reviews about the place. Decided to visit it for brunch on an ordinary Sunday. Party of four, waited about 40 minutes to get a table. Waited about 15 minutes at the table without a single person greeting us. Waitress finally gotthere and was nice, but looked frantic and overworked. Food came relatively quick, as a matter of fact, it beat the drink Iordered, their famous **** mary, which if you're into bitter, you'll def like. Repeat, the food beat the drink to thetable. My kids said the breakfast wasn't anything special, borderline bland. My wife got the shrimp and grits and they looklike it was a layer of oil on top. The food was definitely not worth the wait. Not to rag too much on this place, but I havehad much, much better. Don't know why this was listed best breakfast in Raleigh. It's NOT."

Raleigh Institution was just as amazing as I remembered it from 10 years ago. The portions are generous and hearty, and the cocktails are quite creative. Be sure to share your experience!

Great place for brunch! Nice staff, fun atmosphere. The omelette was delicious with fresh ingredients and the grits were some of the best I?ve had. The shop upstairs was fun, with lots of unique gifts and things for the kitchen. I?d definitely recommendchecking this place out.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The space was bright and cheerful, with hints of its history as a former Piggly Wiggly. The food was excellent as well. However, I deducted one star for the service. Our waitress was a bit brusque and made us feel hurried, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. View menu

This is the most unique dining spot in Raleigh! I absolutely LOVE NOFO! I've been visiting for many years, and I'm so grateful that COVID didn't force them to close! Their Bloody Marys, Shrimp and Grits, and Key Lime Pie are my top favorites! If you enjoy Southern cuisine, great gifts, and a fun atmosphere, you can't go wrong with NOFO at the Pig!

Who wouldn't want to dine in an old Piggly Wiggly? If you appreciate fantastic Southern cooking and outstanding service, this is the place for you. The fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese were simply delicious, and the cocktails were equally impressive. The pork chop was absolutely incredible—definitely the dish to order if you're feeling hungry. The shrimp and grits were also delightful, and all the side dishes were delicious. I can't wait to go back for brunch or try one of their daily specials!

"I ordered the intake for the birthday dinner of my mother and the food was good (I ordered a few deeres), but I was very disappointed after I found a piece of hair in the sauce that I got on the side for the bohnenburger. I found the hair in the sauce after I put the sauce on the burger, with the burger not even eaten halfway. I called to inform madgardless about it, and the employee I spoke with said that she will look into it, but I would have really appreciated an anesthetic sincere apology. an apology goes far into my book. I was a fairly common customer, but after calling and talking to her it put a bad taste in my mouth. update: I was contacted by the administration and will deliver update soon I had the opportunity to talk to the manager when she reached me shortly after the submission of this review. she was sincerely apologetic and worked a few things with me to fix the situation, and I was satisfied with the order. some days later or so, I was in the mood for a dune in experience at irregardless, this go round. I enjoyed my experience from beginning to end. I was able to taste a lot of dressed from the appetizer to dessert and I enjoyed. the waiter was very good and made great recommendations. the good taste in my mouth was restored. no, but really, thank you for good customer service and care that has been provided. I've come back in the last few years."
