"As usual, the food and service at Oceans was superb. The Wild Mushroom soup was a favorite of several of those with us, as was the superbly prepared Black Cod. The service was well timed so that nobody was rushed, in our case important as some ate quite slowly relative to others, yet they were give the time required to finish their dish before clearing the table for the next course. This is one of our go-to restaurants among the many excellent ones in New York, which says a great deal given its competition. Highly recommended."

The halibut was dry. The $58 squid ink pasta with seafood was very much a highly overpriced disappointment.

This is the best seafood restaurant in NYC. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation are outstanding.

My favorite restaurant in the city! Every detail has been carefully considered, and the food and service are exceptional. The atmosphere is also lovely and elegant without feeling pretentious, which is a big plus. I have absolutely no complaints. View menu

Beautiful decor dining room very impressive. Food prices also very impressive. Overall the food was very good whole grilled Bronzino properly filleted and served. Appetizer dishes on small size with large price tag. a great place to go if you're willing to spend maybe a celebration. Cheers

As a NY foodie recently turned gluten sensitive, I was in heaven being served home-made gluten free bread! We dined at the bar and had incredible food and elegant service. I felt totally taken care of by my bartender, Martin, who was well Schooled in dietary restrictions. It was also my birthday and the entire experience couldn't have been more special. I will definitely return!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
