"The worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Santa Fe. The Chile con queso was some weird ball park nacho-like flavorless cheese sauce. What’s even stranger is they smother many of their seafood dishes in this stuff. The waiter apparently didn’t turn our order in and we were told over and over that the kitchen was working on it but it never showed. We left after waiting for an hour and an half after our arrival at the restaurant without a meal. Funky tasting margaritas as well. Definitely not the “hidden gem” as advertised."

I'm a Santa Fe native. They make the best NM style chile rellenos that I've had in town. Excellent friendly service and prices are fair.

I got the steak salad. I would say it was very mediocre and nothing to write home about. That being said the service was polite and professional.

It felt like stepping back in time. The authentic atmosphere and incredible food make it a place truly worth visiting. Plus, there's a mariachi band on weekends! View menu

I unknowingly walked in 8 minutes after closing and asked to place a take out order. They were extremely accommodating, and the food was great. It was presented beautifully and cooked perfectly.

This cafe is a gem!!! Heartfelt hospitality. Excellent food. And a Carajillo Coffee that was surprisingly divine! The patio is perfect for southwest sunsets. Pecos Trail Cafe is one of those special places in this world. One that I look forward to returning to.

We were evacuated from Ruidoso because of the fires. We came to Santa Fe for the weekend and this was the first place we are. The food was amazing. The Mariachi band was fantastic. I will most definitely will come back before I leave. Thank you for your hospitality. View menu

We came into the restaurant after hours, but Jorge still treated us like family and gave us a truly incredible meal and dessert. All the little details and sincere interactions he had with us won't be soon forgotten. The rest of the staff were lovely and helpful as well. Must try location if you want quality service and top notch dining.P.S The title of best flan in the country is justified, delicious!

I just arrived in Santa Fe and tried this place based on reviews and location. I had a simple meal of chicken enchiladas with salsa verde and it was awesome. The chicken was grilled, tasty and tender. The sauce was home made and mildly spicy. The pinto beans were tasty and whole instead of the puree some places serve. The rice was perfectly cooked and fresh. Even the lettuce and tomato was very fresh. Clean place. It seemed the owner and his wife served me and were super friendly.

"My wife and I wanted a nice, relaxed place to sit outside and have a fun dinner. We were very disappointed with the service. It took our waiter about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity while waiting to order drinks). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and water, but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We haven't seen our server in a long time. We felt our starter was a bit delayed when foodrunners showed up with our starters. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But by this point we were already in the middle of the meal. The food tasted good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but not bad. I admit the nachos were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered had breadcrumbs but that was missing. Fortunately, the server took care of it pretty quickly. We were never asked if we would like to have our drinks refilled. And after dinner we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. Neither of the problems on their own would have been a big deal, but together it made a somewhat uncomfortable experience. The waiter was nice and apologized. They also put together the starter for us which was lovely. Maybe it was a free night or maybe a new server but can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambience was nice."
