"I’ve been a loyal customer at this restaurant for years, ever since I worked in the area. Even though I now work from home and have moved across the city, I still try to visit whenever I can, although not as often as I’d like—my rewards tend to expire before I can use them! Recently, I’ve made an effort to be more regular in my visits. I made the mistake of bringing my children once, and now they’re just as hooked as I am. They’ve faced some staffing issues in recent months, but despite this, the food remains outstanding, and the team has worked diligently to keep everything running smoothly. I was thrilled to hear they’re temporarily closing; hopefully, this will give them the chance to resolve some of their challenges. The toughest part of going there is deciding what to order first! I can't wait for them to reopen."

I ordered takeout for dinner and arrived during the busy dinner rush, but I didn't have to wait long at all. The food was hot and fresh when I got home. Great job tonight, team! You were all working hard!

On August 8th, I contacted this email address due to previous reviews. They responded by sending me a gift card that was less than half the value of my original order. It seems I'll need to send more emails to address the remaining issues.

What a fantastic place! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Poke dish was incredible—every bite was mouthwatering! It reminded me of a deconstructed sushi roll and was definitely the best thing I've tried at Pei Wei. The kids also really enjoyed their chicken Lo Mein. The only downside was that the tables felt a little sticky, but that didn’t detract from the amazing food.

The service was subpar, and the food was underwhelming. The green onions had turned a different color due to their age and should have probably been thrown away, while the lime garnish was almost entirely yellow. The dish was excessively spicy but lacked any other distinctive flavors, resulting in it being quite bland apart from the heat. I'm giving it two stars only because the food was served very hot, despite its disappointing taste and service. View menu

As for the food, it was acceptable. Pei Wei has never been gourmet, but it used to offer a reliable meal. The upside of having just one person preparing our food from start to finish was that everything was served piping hot. However, the downside was that he still managed to get the protein wrong in one of our dishes. It’s sad to see how far Pei Wei has fallen. We have many fond memories here, but it truly feels like the restaurant is on its last legs.

The American-Chinese cuisine at this restaurant is quite basic. I ordered the chicken and rice, which was served in a thick, salty-sweet sauce that turned the rice into more of a soup. While the flavors were somewhat better than the texture, it didn't really reflect the true essence of authentic Asian cooking. Most items on the menu are either alcoholic, sugary, starchy, or a combination of all three, with water being the only healthy drink option available. On a positive note, the restaurant is clean and provides a spacious atmosphere.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. I ordered a scheduled pickup, but I had to wait 45 minutes because part of my order wasn't ready. As a result, one of my entrées went cold. The quality and portion sizes of the food did not justify the price. While I was waiting, I saw an employee packing precooked white rice from a plastic bag, which was unappetizing. The food itself was disappointing—some items were missing, the chicken was too dry, and the shrimp was undercooked and tasted slimy. The sauces used were either excessively sweet or sour, overpowering any other flavors. It's not worth the risk of ending up with indigestion. View menu

After that, we went to get some water, but there were no cups available. There were a few forks, so we grabbed a couple, but we couldn't find any napkins. I had to go over to the takeout area to get those. The food arrived after about 20 minutes and was decent. I've had better meals here before, and for $23, I expected at least some vegetables—though that’s on me for not checking the menu more carefully. Even the clock in the restaurant showed the wrong time. I guess they don’t feel the need to adjust it for the upcoming daylight saving time change next week. All in all, the staff needs to focus on cleanliness, stocking supplies, and being more welcoming. We won’t be returning.

My husband and I ordered delivery, but unfortunately, DoorDash delivered the wrong order. Instead of our food, they sent a meal that included the gluten-free shrimp entrée my husband had ordered, which is vital because he has celiac disease. While I was feeling hungry, I decided to give the other food a try, and to my surprise, it was delicious—so I didn’t want to complain. Then, I received a call from someone I believed to be the manager, likely following up on complaints from the people who mistakenly received my order. He informed me that they would be issuing a refund. This level of customer service truly earned this restaurant a five-star rating from me. The food was fantastic, and I wo...

"My friends and I were enjoying a beautiful night in South End and one of them had found this place online. So we stopped by for a drink. Wow! Gorgeous place! The interior design gave me the warm, welcoming feeling of being at The Grand Bohemian Lodge in Greenville SC- upscale, but unpretentious, inviting, and fun. We were immediately welcomed by the bartenders who talked to us about their different beers and kombuchas. We ordered a couple of flights to sample as many as we could and sat down to play Jenga in one of their many seating areas. Our spot was 2 old leather couches flanking a gorgeous wooden coffee table. So relaxing and sociable. I’ve never been in a brew pub with so much greenery (ferns and other foliage adorn and drape from the rafters filling corners and crannies around the room), natural wood, and light! Another great feature was a floor-to-ceiling wall cabinet filled with really cool things. The beers were unique and fun to try. The vibe is worth the visit even if you don’t love beer. I enjoyed a glass of prosecco and loved learning about and sampling the other beverages. They also have a great outdoor space for gathering where dogs are welcome. My sense is this place was designed for building community, which is something we all need more of. Turn off your cellphones and come here to meet people, pet dogs, and enjoy a great experience!"
