"Personally, this is my favorite sushi place. They are always consistent in providing good quality and fresh sushi (mainly the main thing I am personally here). My friend is able to eat more than I can do with my food restrictions and everything he has ever got here is great! I can certainly see a food critic as I worked in a restaurant for a long time, but I and my friend never have anything to complain about here and if we do, it will be immediately treated by the manager or employees (which are very friendly and helpful). I would also like to mention that I am gluten-free and they are ALWAYS on my needs and any changes/exceptions that need to be made to my meal, so it is safe for me to eat! that, like any other, the GF or nutritional problem/restrictions is white, it is very appreciated if a restaurant thinks about it."

"We were in Ft. Myers from the city. They wanted to eat near the hotel and Trip Advisor had great reviews for this restaurant. We sat there. Our server, Martin, was wonderful. Did great suggestions for our dinner. Our meals were perfect. Our children are picky, but they cleaned plates there. We were so happy with our experience that we came back to dinner the next day! We asked Martin again... He remembered what we liked and offered great suggestions for our dinner at night. Will definitely enjoy a meal here when we are in town!"

"The food service was phenomenal! Our first visit was yesterday (visiting Tampa) for breakfast and returned this morning! My Nabeby eggs were slightly misprepared, the mananger came by. Once the disappointed look at his face - she asked if she could have his plate... took it away and came with perfect eggs - we think she cooked herself! Although the food was delicious to confirm with a large staff and manager of a restaurant and welcome you beyond remarkable! #EXCELLENT #wewillback"

"Our experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. The rice had an odd taste, as though it had been prepared in old oil or dirty pans. We ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kids, but the chicken was overcooked and tough—my children had a hard time even biting into it. The fries also had an off flavor, reminiscent of oil used for frying seafood, which was quite unappetizing. To add to our dissatisfaction, one of our entrees arrived without the accompanying soup or salad that was promised. The service did not help matters; it felt uninviting, and the staff seemed curt and unhelpful, especially since nearly every meal had an issue. Although we were offered a 50% discount for this unfortunate experience, there were no apologies—just excuses. I really wish I could give this place a lower rating than one star; if possible, I would rate it at -5 stars."

"The Standard was packed yesterday so we opted for a table in the arcade area so we could converse easily with our cousins. Despite being quite busy, our server cute Tim did a great job keeping us happy. The food was great, as always, even though the kitchen was running low on some items due to the unexpected crowds. You can 't go wrong at The Standard!!"
