Railway Cafe - Menu

Railway is an awesome little place to eat! The food is always great, the service is friendly, helpful, and great at what they do! The fries are amazing!! The atmosphere is friendly. They do an awesome job. It is also clean inside and out! 10 out of 10!

It was just okay. I ordered the club sandwich and the cheese bacon fries. The club was mediocre—not the best I've had. The cheese fries were tasty, but when I tried to eat them, the paper underneath pulled up with the cheese, so I had to remove the paper before taking a bite.

COULDNT RATE THE FOOD, WENT HERE FOR A DONATION FOR A POKER RUN NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE MGR DID NOT HESITATE TO DONATE A GIFT CARD, GOD BLESS YOU ALL HOWEVER, DID TAKE A MENU W- ME DEFINITELY COMING BACK 2 TRY THE CHICKEN SANDWICHES. We have had the best experiences at the Railway Cafe! Our kids love it-especially our 3 year old. They make it a family friendly place (because he knows no boundaries and tries to sneak in the kitchen to hug them ?)The food is excellent and there is not a long wait time at all which is wonderful when you’re willing to drive nearly 30 minutes to get there because it’s so worth it!

I am so happy we have the Railway Cafe in Bassett. I have gone here since it opened and the staff and owner are wonderful.The food is delicious with generous portions. Items are added to the menu, which I like. A friend from Sweden went with me for several meals because she loved their food so much.Parking is plentiful and they had prepared their sheltered outdoor seating for winter.

These folks absolutely rock the Basset area. Every item on their menu is top knotch the Barbeque Nacho, oh my word are the greatest and their hot dog and hamburger. Those fries and sauce are perfection. While we are at it let's throw in a bottle of that great Southwest sauce . This is the 2nd time I have ordered out and was dissatisfied. Today we spent $50.00 the f fries were awful, flimsy as a rubber band. They were wet and so was the bread and chic tenders, I had 2 orders. The dipping sauce was spilled in the bottom of the bag. The side salad was ok, and I fixed me some canned soup. I don't like wet food. Doubt there will be a 3rd time. I don't have that kind of money to waste.B.Agnew

I can’t even begin to pick one favorite food from here. Homemade, everything seasoned just right with their own perfected recipes. The service from everyone is so helpful, courteous and all done with a team effort!! And breakfast all day tops it all off!! And now the homemade dog treats make our pups day as well?. Favorite employee??? They all outdo themselves and go above and beyond!! If you haven’t been there yet, you don’t know what you’re missing!!

Fabulous small town Cafe in Bassett Virginia. The food is always consistent and delicious. The employees are friendly, polite, and go above and beyond to help you. The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. They have added more seating and in the summer offer live music. Not only is this a great Cafe for the locals but those visiting Philpott lake or the Martinsville Speedway must give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
