"I am remiss at having forgotten to mention what may be the Greatest Cafe in New York. And that Cafe is the Red White Cafe, in Ithaca. For that, I apologize. Where Plain and Court St bisect, just up the street from GIAC, which is the Greater Ithaca Activities Center: you will find the Red and White Cafe. Unexpectedly, this Fine Establishment quickly and efficiently servers the finest food variety to construction workers, community members and others on lunch break; with not much time to wait around for lunch to be served. Such a small business with big heart, great service, great food and long standing history of doing the Cafe business on that corner, should be recognized by the City of Ithaca as a Major Food Service Contributor to the Construction Industry which is building up our fair City, and service to it's Community and people of Ithaca at large. Stop by, say hi and grab a bite of really great food. On Friday's their fish fried haddock sandwiches are out of this world. They have fried chicken, foot long chili dogs, and burgers which make you wish you had ordered two instead. Just get it next time. I have been going there for years, and the food just keeps getting better. I do declare you will not be sorry you visited them!"

Amazing fish dinner! The owner, John, made the day of our tourist family. The food was excellent. Our party of 12 loved everything we ordered. John took the time to chat us and even delivered the children (and some of the adults! with rubber bears to be polite. (If he only knew her! Well, I'd like you to stop.

Best fish fry and fried oysters in the area. Yes better than Maxie's or Doug's in any of their locations. I wish they had more hours or were open later during the week. Good folks, clean unpretentious surroundings. Funny, what a difference it can make when a fried food joint changes it oil often. Lets hope that when they get their beer license and business increase they can hold onto their charm and quality.

"My girlfriend and I decided to take a romantic getaway on the finger lakes and our drive had us passing through Ithaca, so we decided to stop for dinner. A good friend recommended this place, and admittedly I was skeptical of Italian food this far from New York City, but I trust their recommendations and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. For our wine selection, our server allowed us to sample one of the wines by the glass, which tasted thin. When we described what we wanted, she came back with a reasonably priced bottle that exactly hit the deep red notes that we were looking for (see the picture for the winery vintage if interested . We started with the crostini sampler. In my opinion, the Caponata was the best, but they were all interesting to try and I was glad we got all three. As a nice touch, they cut each crostini in half so my girlfriend and I could both easily sample each one. For dinner, I had the grilled hanger steak, which came with rapini and shoestring fries. I admittedly gave an annoyingly long description of how I wanted it cooked (essentially rare+ and they nailed it. The steak was fantastic, but the accompaniments were so good that they almost stole the show. The shoestring fries’ rosemary seasoning was a fun twist and the rapini was both familiar (garlic and olive oil and excitingly different. For dessert, I had what was essentially espresso mousse with graham crackers and a glass of dessert wine. While probably the weakest course, it was still a delicious way to cap an amazing meal. The mousse required a bit more texture, but fortunately they provided graham crackers on the side (which I suggest crumbling into the mousse . I’d highly recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the area."

"Been here three times all my life in Ithaca. The first one was with my department bestie as it was our first time hanging out together and I taught her how to use chopsticks, how cute is that? And the second time was with my bf and the third time was with an old friend with her friend who were both new students this fall. The place was super strategic as you could see it from across the Seneca street bus stop because it was located hooked and the signage was kinda readable from far away. Also, they placed a printed menu on the window so that people could easily see both menu and the ambiance of the place directly although I could hold my waves of laughter a lot as I sat twice at the table near the menu because people could be very intense when seeing the menu and they might also watch us eating a bit. The staffs were attentive and friendly but their opening hours might be the quickest place to close as they close around 8pm. Food-wise, they have a wide variety of Korean and Japanese food and some kind of fusion Asian cuisine like the name of the restaurant!! I once went with fusion raw, cooked, and deep-fried sushi rolls which were so good, and some were categorized as spicy but not that spicy for my appetite. And then I tried the Vegetable Pajun or pancake served with a sour sauce which had not much flavor but the crispiness saved the game. To be honest, not really a fan of Korean food but I did try the Jjam Bong with chicken and it turned out so flavorful and the soup was spicy which I loved. The shredded chicken was tender and scrumptious also the noodle was cooked perfectly for me. Recommended to those who want to try comfort and tasty Asian cuisine around Downtown but make sure to seal the deal before 8pm so you will still be seated !!"
