"After one hour and fifty-four minutes in line, we were finally rewarded with what has to be the best lobster roll in the country. The taste was incredible, and there was enough lobster meat to easily satisfy two people. For the first time ever, I left half of the bun behind just to finish the mouthwatering, freshly caught lobster meat. A lobster roll typically consists of lobster meat, warm drawn butter, and some variation of a hot dog bun. You might think there wouldn’t be much of a difference, but once you taste the freshness from Red’s, you’ll know otherwise. Keep up the fantastic work, Red’s! You truly deserve all the recognition you’ve received over the years. The numerous travel shows and food awards can’t even begin to capture the experience of biting into your lobster roll."

What can I say about Red's Eats. Yes, there is a long line/wait. But it is absolutely the best lobster roll we've ever eaten in our lives. The quality, the quantity. Everything about the generous lobster rolls are just superb. It's a bucket list meal if you're anywhere close to this area of Maine!

Our first Lobster Roll in Maine was absolutely delicious! Lobster was cooked perfectly and served with plenty of drawn butter to dip it in. Market price of the day made it a $36 roll but it was big enough for us to share. Worth the drive! The summer crowds aren't here yet so we didn't have to wait in a line. They said they sell 14.5 tons of lobster

Now, let's talk about the lobster rolls — they were not only the most delicious I’ve ever had, but they were also overflowing with fresh lobster. They came served with hot butter, which made them even better. We also tried the onion rings, which had a unique twist and were served with a delicious sauce! A big surprise was that they offered 100% beef hot dogs for just $1! This helped balance our expenses, and the kids absolutely loved them. Just a heads up: it's cash only!

Where do I begin? I waited in line for 1.25 hours, and it was absolutely worth it! I tried the lobster roll, scallops, and onion rings. I have to say, I might be spoiled for the rest of my trip. The scallops and onion rings were fantastic, but the lobster roll... wow! It had more lobster than any I've ever had, and it was simply delicious. There was even a whole tail on the roll! I had to eat more than half of it before I could actually pick it up. I’ll stop here, but the memories will definitely stay with me! View menu

We absolutely adore this restaurant and always make a point to visit whenever we're in Maine. Their lobster roll is incredible, loaded with a generous amount of lobster! Last week, I tried their scallops, and WOW, they were fantastic! The customer service here is outstanding as well. They even provide umbrellas for shade while you wait in line, along with complimentary samples and water! Corey was our server, and he took great care of us, checking in several times and being incredibly friendly. We can't wait to return soon!

The waiting experience is part of the charm here, as the friendly staff frequently stop by with water and treat you with great respect. They even brought out water and dog biscuits for our lab! Although the line moves slowly, it's definitely worth the wait. We sampled almost everything on the menu, and nothing disappointed us. The fried clams were incredible, and the generous portion of lobster in the lobster roll made it feel like a real bargain. While it may not be an everyday destination, it’s a place you must experience at least once.

I understand that waiting over an hour might not sound appealing. We got there about 10 minutes before it opened on a Tuesday, and the wait ended up being around an hour... but it was absolutely worth it! This was by far the largest lobster roll we had all week, and the meat was incredibly tender. The clarified butter they provide is a fantastic addition. If you’re looking for something besides lobster, the fried shrimp is also excellent. Our second visit this year was just as good, if not better, than the first. For $31, you get an incredible amount of lobster meat on the roll—it's truly the best deal in Maine! View menu

The line is almost never worth it but on those rare occasions that it's less than 10 people long, I will stop. I have fond childhood memories of my Dad taking me for hot dogs and onion rings as a reward for good grades. I know the lobster roll gets all the praise and it is great/worthy of that praise but the onion rings are the deal standout. You can make a lobster roll just as good at home with little effort, but not those onion rings crispy, batter dipped, sweet onion; you don't even need any condiments. Lobster roll market price was $34 on our visit which is a pretty good deal considering the current market price of picked lobster.

First of all let me say, this place is worth every minute of the wait! I waited for 2 hours and met several people from other parts of the country. Had a great visit and even sampled terrific shrimp while in line. The service when I got the front of theline was top notch. The people I know interacted with were kind/informative/efficient. The lobster rolls? not only the mostdelicious I?ve ever had, but TONS of fresh lobster on the roll. They were served with hot butter. We also got the onion ringsand they were unique with a scrumptious sauce! The big surprise here was they offered 100% beef hotdogs for only $1! This wasable to offset the amount we spent for the adults, and the kids raved abou...

"The bar, though small with only about six seats, boasted an impressive selection of red wines. My wife chose an excellent Malbec from Argentina for $9 a glass, while I enjoyed a Sam Adams winter lager. The bar was well-stocked with a variety of bourbons, whiskeys, and other spirits. At our reservation time, our server escorted us to our table, which was nicely arranged with about ten tables in the cozy dining area—half for couples and half for groups of four. I estimate there were around 34 guests during the 5:30 seating, and the atmosphere was intimate with a nice noise level, perfect for conversation. It's not the ideal place for large parties of 14 to 20 unless you’ve made special arrangements with the owner or chef. As for the menu, it changes with the seasons and featured dishes perfect for December's chill. I did wish for a warm soup option, but it wasn't available that night. We started with a wonderful arugula salad topped with shaved root vegetables and a tasty dressing, paired with fried calamari on the side. For our main courses, my wife had the yellowfin/ahi tuna priced at $26, while I opted for the rack of lamb at $35, served with potatoes and green peas. Both dishes were cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious! We were glad to have saved room for dessert; we shared a scrumptious carrot coconut cake that was the perfect end to our meal. The total for our dinner came to $160 for two. The only thing this restaurant could use to enhance the experience would be a nice view, perhaps a cozy fireplace for winter or a lovely bay view with sailboats at sunset. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic meal with excellent service in a cozy atmosphere, making it a spot I’d happily return to with family or good friends. Thank you, Little Village Bistro!"
