"As someone who was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, adapting to a gluten-free diet has been quite challenging. When I discovered that Sea Basket offers gluten-free breading and has a dedicated gluten-free fryer, I was absolutely thrilled! Their gluten-free coating is made from rice, garbanzo, and corn—just make sure to double-check when you visit! The onion rings were incredibly delicious, and the scallops were fantastic as well. In fact, everything I tried was great, but those two dishes were definitely my favorites!"

We got a mixed seafood platter. First time here. It was delicious. Scallops slightly over cooked. But everything very fresh and cooked to order.

We wanted a lobster roll and we got some! Tastey and delicious. A bit pricey but worth the buy for real Maine lobster. Stop by if you are vacationing!

Great seafood and if you have a GIANT appetite this is the place for you. Pictured is their seafood mix (scallops, clam bellies, shrimp haddock) and enough French fried to feed 4 kids!

Friendly staff, and prompt service! Reasonable prices for midcoast Maine. Large portion and tasted amazing! You could tell the seafood was quality. Nice outdoor dining area, with plenty of picnic table style seating. Would definitely stop here again! View menu

We came to the closing time (unconscious) and turned to go, but we were welcome and they stayed a few minutes extra open to make dinner for my toddler and I. Everybody was so friendly. The restaurant was clean and beautiful. Dinner was delicious! The Haddock Chowder was excellent! We love this clamp in our community. Five stars.

Really wanted to like Sea Basket, but everything was so bland. Breading was more bread-like and not crispy. Onion rings were thin and tasted like I was eating mostly the breading. Fries tasted like something I can buy frozen and cook in the oven athome. The nice thing was that the chicken was actually moist inside and not over cooked.

Fried Seafood platter was delicious, best my wife and I have ever tasted. All the locals go there, not touristy and overpriced. Only $21.99, including haddock, sea scallops, clam strips, baby shrimp, coleslaw, and French fries. Big enough for 2 meals. For only $5 more, a bigger platter can feed 2-4 people. Outside dining on picnic tables. No extra cost for condiments. View menu

We arrived just as the restaurant was closing (unbeknownst to us) and started to leave, but we were met with a warm welcome and the staff graciously kept the kitchen open for a few extra minutes to prepare dinner for my toddler and me. Everyone was incredibly kind. The restaurant itself was clean and beautifully decorated. Our dinner was delicious, and the haddock chowder was outstanding! We truly appreciate this beloved spot in our community. Five stars!

I don't often get the chance to enjoy fried seafood due to my gluten-free diet, so I was thrilled to find that everything fried could be made gluten-free. The mixed seafood basket was fantastic! All the seafood was cooked perfectly. However, it did come with crinkle cut fries, which I'm not a big fan of. The onion rings were tasty as well, though they were a bit greasy and messy. The staff was super friendly! I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

"The bar, though small with only about six seats, boasted an impressive selection of red wines. My wife chose an excellent Malbec from Argentina for $9 a glass, while I enjoyed a Sam Adams winter lager. The bar was well-stocked with a variety of bourbons, whiskeys, and other spirits. At our reservation time, our server escorted us to our table, which was nicely arranged with about ten tables in the cozy dining area—half for couples and half for groups of four. I estimate there were around 34 guests during the 5:30 seating, and the atmosphere was intimate with a nice noise level, perfect for conversation. It's not the ideal place for large parties of 14 to 20 unless you’ve made special arrangements with the owner or chef. As for the menu, it changes with the seasons and featured dishes perfect for December's chill. I did wish for a warm soup option, but it wasn't available that night. We started with a wonderful arugula salad topped with shaved root vegetables and a tasty dressing, paired with fried calamari on the side. For our main courses, my wife had the yellowfin/ahi tuna priced at $26, while I opted for the rack of lamb at $35, served with potatoes and green peas. Both dishes were cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious! We were glad to have saved room for dessert; we shared a scrumptious carrot coconut cake that was the perfect end to our meal. The total for our dinner came to $160 for two. The only thing this restaurant could use to enhance the experience would be a nice view, perhaps a cozy fireplace for winter or a lovely bay view with sailboats at sunset. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic meal with excellent service in a cozy atmosphere, making it a spot I’d happily return to with family or good friends. Thank you, Little Village Bistro!"
