My to go place by college park. Great atmosphere, especially the patio, and A+ service. They are open to any dietary restrictions, etc. Shout out to Grace, Elizabeth, Akhil and Jake : . Request Jake, the bartender, to make a unique drink just for you. Wish they had a brunch menu tho

Met a friend there who tells me they have good wine and serve delicious drinks. I don't or can't really drink so for those of you who can, this sounds like good place. I had a tea and the 3 beet salad. It was quite yummy. The atmosphere is subdued, dark to set an intimate mood. You don't here just for food, though the food was good. My salad was 15.50 plus taxes. Again not a place I would think of going but it good to check new places out. The service was there without being overbearing. And there was no pressure for us to leave. So better than a coffee shop but more too!

Came here for NYEs dinner and left again impressed with the food, service and drinks at Reds. They offered a $49 3 course prix fixe dinner which was a great deal. Portions were large and food was quite tasty. I enjoyed my Ahi tuna chip appetizer and my steak shrimp main very much. I was also surprised at their Gin Tonic offerings. You can actually customize your own or order one of their specialty Gin Tonics. I ordered their Lemon Thyme version and it was amazing, one of the best Gin Tonics I've ever had. Reds is a godsend. I landed late in Toronto and was so hungry by the time I arrived at my hotel. Fortunately my colleague knew about this place (she came here for lunch) so we headed over for dinner. Thankfully the kitchen was still open. We sat at the bar, where 1-2 bartenders were running the whole place. Service took awhile, but I was in no rush. I can't recall the name, but there are little bottles of whiskey cocktails that are made every day. Bartender totally sold me on getting one, and it was amazing. Came here on a whim after shopping at Eaton Centre. We saw that they had a 3 course meal special going on at the time so, obviouslyyyy we took advantage of such a deal. For the apps, we got mini roast beef in yorkshire puddings tuna tostadas. These were both good nothing outstanding, just good. For the mains, we got the signature roast chicken and the salmon. The chicken was alright, a tad bit on the salty and dry side. It came with potatoes and broccoli on the side in case that half a chicken wasn 't enough. The salmon was cooked nicely not too dry at all! My only complaint with this one was that the portion was a bit small. For the dessert, of course, we got their famous apple pie a la mod...

Decided to try this place Saturday afternoon based on reviews. Nice atmosphere, super-friendly staff. Menu had some really great choices on it and we were having a hard time deciding....and then, i turned the menu over. What did I find? They offered a tasting menu that feeds about 2-4 people and provides an 11 oz New York Strip, BBQ Pork Ribs and a Half-Roasted Chicken with two sides for $75. This is a steal when you consider each individual entree could cost about $25 a piece AND you get to try a variety of items. We met as a group at Red's Midtown Tavern. They were very accommodating to a group with multiple food issues. I had the steak and veggies. There was a minor slip up in my order and they had to produce a second steak for me. The steak was nice and had a good crispness to the outside. I had ordered it rare, and was impressed with what I got. They we're making something special just for me and it was very appreciated. The restaurant is huge. Lots of seating lots of room to hang out and mingle and the score of the night, an old nonfunctional cigarette machine that still showed the old brand and original packaging. I haven't smoked in 25 plus years, but I hadn't seen one in more treats than that....

Went here because I really wanted the two bite butter tarts. I had them at the square one location and figured since I was down in the city I would fulfill the craving. I was extremely disappointed when the waitress informed me that they had no longer carried them. None the less my family and I decided to stay and eat. This review is hard for me to write, because I will always have a soft spot for Red's in my heart. It's where I met my husband! I am giving it two stars still because they have two stars who work there: Phil, the bartender/fireman, and May, who is a manager/server. They both exude what customer service should be, and are thoughtful, kind, generous and hospitable. I hope that Sir Corp (the owners of Red's reads the reviews online and takes them seriously; and if they take anything away from my updated review, it's that these two people need to be praised.
