"Ripple Cafe offers a fantastic location right by the red line and near my workplace. I walked in unsure of what to expect from a Haitian-inspired cafe, but I was pleasantly surprised by the inviting atmosphere, excellent music, and the warm hospitality of the staff. The diverse team enhances the experience, making it particularly welcoming for international visitors at MIT. My favorite orders are the Hot Chocolate and Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant, both incredibly delicious and always leave me wanting more. I've also enjoyed other standout menu items like the sweet plantains, Tuna Melt, vegan and beef patties, lattes, homemade Passion Fruit juice, and the roasted chicken breast bowl, among others. It's important to note that some days can be busier, so a little patience is needed. Overall, I highly recommend Ripple Cafe to anyone in the area looking for a great spot to unwind or grab a bite to eat. I tried the jerk turkey tips bowl, but the turkey was really dry, and I only got one plantain in the bowl. Just a heads-up: all their drinks come with sugar by default, so if you want a traditional matcha or latte, be sure to ask for it without sugar. The brownies are fantastic, though. The service takes quite a while, even when there’s a queue, so I wouldn’t suggest it if you’re looking for a quick coffee break between meetings. Service: 3 Meal type: Lunch Food: 2 Atmosphere: 5

Review of Hot Espresso Milk Drink: Ripple Cafe offers drink sizes of 8 oz, 12 oz, and 16 oz. When I ordered an 8 oz espresso drink with 2 oz of espresso, they recommended either a Flat White or a Cappuccino. They typically assume you’re ordering for takeout unless you indicate that you want to eat in. My Cappuccino had the perfect dry foam and was made with a well-prepared espresso. Additionally, I enjoyed a tasty Ham and Cheese croissant, which had a unique flat shape, gooey cheese, and diced ham. "No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
