"The food was disappointing. I ordered through a BOGO deal on Uber Eats, and when I opened the box, it looked like something I wouldn't even give my dog. I had ordered barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. The corn tasted like it came straight from a can, and the mashed potatoes were bland and had a texture reminiscent of instant mash. The chicken was okay, but nothing was seasoned properly. We even tried adding seasoned salt, but it didn’t make a difference. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this place. While the older reviews were positive, all the recent ones from the past six months have been pretty awful, and now I understand why."

Very nice workers. The owner is also very nice and from what I see welcomes feedback. Their food and cakes are very good, I really like this place!

The ribs were cooked perfectly, and the mac and cheese was quite good. However, the collard greens had too much vinegar for my taste. On the other hand, the blue velvet cake was absolutely amazing! View menu

The shrimp was undercooked and quite soggy, and the fries were also lacking in crispness, making them inedible. However, the cakes were absolutely delicious. This was my second time ordering, and I'm not very pleased with the main dish.

I found the Oxtail Dinner to be surprisingly sweet, which was unexpected. There were only three pieces of oxtail, along with a bone, for $25, which felt way too pricey. The rice and peas were mushy, and the peas were practically non-existent. Honestly, this place shouldn't be allowed to serve collard greens. I really regret spending $50 on such disappointing food. The food was SO GOOD, I sent my homegirl to get some too! Good portion for the money. Friendly staff. I'm not in the neighborhood often, but I'll definitely be back! I had jerk chicken with Mac and mash as sides. My friend had cabbage instead of the potatoes. She also had some wings that may have been sweet chili with fries. Our cheapskate friends couldn't keep their hands out our plates.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on Uber Eats, and I couldn't be happier. The food arrived incredibly quickly, and it was absolutely delicious. The ribs were impressive—huge, juicy, and perfectly glazed with BBQ sauce. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection: moist on the inside and wonderfully crispy on the outside. The sides were also quite tasty. I would give this place a perfect rating of 10 out of 10 and definitely recommend it!

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
