Rubio's Coastal Grill

The food was very bad I order the lobster burrito and I came with only white rice and a tinny little bit of lobster the guy that took my order looked high out of his mind Out of all I rate it a zero out of 5 don't go to the foothill location !!!!!! The rice was not even the right type of rice

I have a pneumonia. My appetite is just starting to come back; so, I felt a small cup of soup would be nice. I had my husband get some chicken tortilla soup here that turned out to be unfit for human consumption! It was absolutely terrible! I should've had him just crack open a can of Campbell's soup instead! That would've been a helluva lot better!

I have always enjoyed Rubio's, but the service has been very poor for some time now. It seems mostly to be understaffing. I feel sorry for some of the people working here, they are asked to do too much. Tonight was the final straw for me with Rubio's. I got a bacon shrimp burrito with only four tiny shrimp in it. There are a lot of vegan options at this restaurant that are made fresh to order. They offer quinoa cauliflower bowls, salads, burritos, and tacos, all available with Impossible or Grilled Veggies for protein. Some dishes may come with dressing or queso fresco, but they are easily removable upon request. Every dish I have tried here has been warm, fresh, and delicious. I typically prefer vegan restaurants, but there aren't many options where I live, so it's great to have this delicious option available.

I ordered the mahi mahi lime bowl and it looked nothing like the picture on the app. When I asked why it didn't come with any lettuce, the cashier told me it was supposed to come with 1 oz. I asked her to please look at my bowl because it didn't have any lettuce, and she reluctantly handed me a small container of lettuce. I couldn't believe it. The prices for the entrees were just okay for what you actually get. The customer service needs more training. On the positive side, the seats were comfortable and the dining area was clean.

I was extremely disappointed when I drove to the restaurant to pick up dinner for my family on Sunday (4/7) and arrived 12 minutes before closing, only to be told by the employees that they were not accepting any more customers. It was not yet 9pm, so I was puzzled as to why they were turning us away. I understand that they may have been slow, bored, and ready to close up, but we had made the effort to come specifically based on their posted and advertised hours. I work part-time as a Ubereats delivery driver and on the evening of 1/28/2024, I was picking up an order. It seems that the staff at the restaurant misunderstood me because of my Chinese background and mispronunciation of the customer's name. As I was leaving, I overheard a blonde-haired lady at the front desk making derogatory comments about my English proficiency, assuming I wouldn't understand. This experience was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. It is important for the restaurant to properly train their staff and ensure they maintain a level of professionalism at all times. You know, food is not bad, like everywhere else seems to be getting less. But, the biggest thing is customer service, the girl you have up front, seriously, could she make it any more obvious she does not want to be there ? My sister and I decided to stop and eat at Rubio's a couple weeks ago on a Friday afternoon. She ordered her Shrimp Tacos and I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with Steak and a side of chips . We decided to get a beer with our order and therefore we're told to sit inside the designated area and we did . While waiting we asked for some salsa for the chips and burrito being we just paid 46.00 for what we ordered for fast food . She was told no she would have to buy salsa Fresca for just a little side of it for the burrito as it was dry and I personally didn't like the spicy mild sauce.
