"We visited Rumbi Island Grill after finding a Buy One, Get One Free coupon in Hometown Values Magazine. Unfortunately, when I went to pay, the staff member informed me that her system was down and she couldn't process the voucher. Consequently, I ended up being charged full price for two entrées. Shortly after that, I received an alert from my credit card company, which made me question the reliability of their system. Hypothetically, even if their coupon processing software was linked to another offline system, she could have still honored the voucher by charging me for just one entrée. While the food was quite good, I am concerned about their readiness to accept the coupons featured in Hometown Values Magazine. I recommend that their corporate office look into this matter."

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was quite delicious. I enjoyed a lovely dinner on the patio, and my order was served promptly.

Ended up eating here three times in a week-long vacation. Delicious each time. The service was good, and they would make it right if they made a mistake. Could not get enough of the Rumbi Berry Salad and had it two of my three meals there.

This will be my last visit to Layton Rumbis. This is the third time I’ve been served by the manager, Eileen, and her attitude is very rude. I consistently receive much better service at the Riverdale location, where the staff is much friendlier. I’ll gladly make the extra trip there. Customer service is crucial.

This will be my final visit to Layton Rumbis. This was the third time I was served by the manager, Eileen, and each time she has been quite rude. I’ve received much better service at the Riverdale location, where the staff is consistently friendly. I'm willing to make the extra trip there because good customer service is important to me. I'm really becoming a big fan of this place. It is fast food, but it is good. The vibe is pretty chill, with a good mix of island style music playing constantly. The real standout here is the daily special menu. You get a complete meal (including drink) for less than $10. The options mostly consist of rice and chicken/fish/pork, and you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend!

Caution to future diners! The dishes are excessively drenched in sauce, and don’t expect any prior notice about it. I witnessed the same issue with the couple before me, and when it happened to my meal, I pointed it out. The extra charge of 75 cents for each dish really adds up over time. Two staff members even confessed that this practice is mandated by the manager; despite knowing it’s unethical and entirely wrong, they continue to comply. This is unfair and needs to be addressed.

I previously had a very unfortunate experience at this restaurant that resulted in my daughter getting food poisoning, which led to her being sick all over my mother's vehicle. We recorded phone calls with the restaurant where they admitted their fault. They suggested that we clean my mother's car and assured us they would reimburse us, which we did, but then they refused to pay after we provided the receipt. Fortunately for them, we chose not to pursue legal action. We decided to give it another chance today, but we found a one-inch chicken bone in our teriyaki chicken bowl! I strongly advise staying away from this place! View menu

The prices remain unchanged, but the portion sizes are significantly smaller. At every other Rumbi's I've visited, the bowl has sauce on the chicken, along with an extra cup of sauce included with the meal. If you ask for more, they'll happily provide it at no extra cost. However, at this location, there's no sauce on the chicken, and they charge for any additional cups of sauce. Moreover, while other locations offer two cups of salsa with the chips, here you only get one cup of salsa and fewer chips. I'm very disappointed. EDIT: I've added photos from the Riverdale Rumbi's to illustrate just how ridiculous the portion sizes are at this location.

We visited Rumbi Island Grill after discovering a Buy One, Get One Free coupon in the Hometown Values magazine. However, when I went to pay, the staff member looked at the coupon and said their system was down and couldn't process it. She ended up charging me for two entrées at full price. I received an immediate alert from my credit card company, which makes me think their system wasn't actually down. Even if the software for processing coupons was offline, she could have simply charged me for one entrée to honor the offer. While the food was good, if they're not going to honor the coupons they promote in the Hometown Values magazine, their corporate office should investigate this practice.

"Haru Ramen House in Layton, Utah, is a mixed bag in terms of dining experience. Starting with the positives, the appetizers were undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. They were flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived quickly. The gyoza, for instance, had a delightful crispness on the outside with a savory filling, and the takoyaki was a pleasant surprise with its rich flavors and texture. However, the main attraction—the ramen—was a bit of a letdown. While it wasn’t outright bad, it failed to stand out. The broth lacked the depth and richness one would expect from authentic ramen, and the noodles were just average. The toppings were sufficient but didn’t elevate the dish, leaving the overall experience underwhelming. The biggest disappointment, though, was the service. The staff seemed inattentive, and it took a long time to get refills or assistance. The lack of hospitality and care took away from what could have been a more enjoyable meal. It felt as though the staff were either overworked or simply uninterested, which was unfortunate given the potential of the restaurant. Overall, Haru Ramen House has its moments with the appetizers, but the average ramen and poor service make it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. With some improvements in customer service and a bit more attention to the quality of the ramen, this spot could become a much better dining destination. "My fiancé and I ate here for Valentine’s Day and had a delicious dinner. Our server Bryce had some great recommendations. We started off with the crabmeat fries. I love good loaded fries…and these were absolutely fantastic! The fries were cooked to perfection and the flavor was great! We’d definitely order these again. We did the Valentine’s Day special which was dinner for two for $69 (very clever . It came with an appetizer, main course, and a dessert. We chose the crabmeat fries (delicious , crab, shrimp, extra shrimp (which was an additional $4 , and a lemon blueberry dessert. We chose to get the hook reel original sauce in a spicy heat level. I can do a little bit of heat, so spicy was great for me. I probably could have gone a tad hotter. I didn’t try the next heat level, but I think my fiancé would have liked that more. He loves spicy food. The main course was delicious! We couldn’t get enough of that sauce! The potatoes were cooked perfectly and could be easily cut with a fork. We ordered a lemon blueberry dessert, but the server brought us cheesecake. I don’t usually like cheesecake, but we really needed to be heading home, so we didn’t say anything to our server. I ended up loving the cheesecake! It was fantastic when drizzled with both the chocolate and strawberry sauce! Cheesecake is usually too dense for me, but this one was very light. All in all we had a great dinner. It could have been a little better if we were provided with gloves (I hate getting my hands messy . I don’t know if they forgot to provide them or if we needed to ask. It wasn’t a deal breaker though so we just dug in. It was kind of fun : We’d definitely come back for more delicious food."
