"My husband and I grabbed lunch at Sajj at the 2nd/Brannan location in SOMA and were impressed with all the options. You choose if you want a stuffed pita, wrap, salad or rice bowl, pick a protein, and add toppings. I ordered the Schawafel rice bowl which included three proteins (steak, chicken and falafel , sumac cauliflower, eggplant ragout (so good! , hummus, extra feta cheese and tahini sauce. My husband had the Steak Schwarma with what seemed like every topping and spicy tahini. Everything was fresh and flavorful, the Lentil Soup was the perfect side, and I had to try the Chocolate Hummus with Cinnamon Chips which was surprisingly delicious. The housemade fruit drinks were so good, we debated over which was better, his Mandarin Cardamom w/turmeric, apricot, tangerine or my Blackberry w/cinnamon, spearmint apple cider vinegar. There was also plenty of nearby street parking over the weekend."

This is the best Mediterranean food! I really loved it. Fresh, delicious, and good portions for every ingredient. Nice service too. I highly recommend this place.

The falafel bowl from SAJJ is amazing with all the toppings and spicy garlic sauce, the bowl is flavourful yet still healthy. The ingredients taste so fresh a must go for vegetarians and vegans.Food: 5/5

I stopped by for lunch and ordered three bowls of falafel salad with rice and veggies. It was decent, although the falafel was a bit too fried for my liking. The lentil soup was watery but tasty. Overall, it's a good option for a quick lunch in the area.

As for the Shawafel pita, I would give it 4 stars. The meat and ingredients were delicious, and the green cilantro sauce was fantastic. However, I noticed that all the meat tends to settle at the bottom while the dressings and sauces sit on top. I recommend getting a small container of sauce to use when you reach the bottom of the wrap! View menu

Sajj offers a delicious, healthy, and affordable dining experience! I usually opt for a combination of shawarma and pomegranate chicken served on a bed of mixed greens. That alone is quite satisfying, but they also encourage you to load up on sides and vegetables like roasted eggplant, cauliflower, chickpeas, pickled chilis, and more. As if that weren't enough, they also throw in a generous cup of soup! It's incredibly filling and very low in carbs!

We stopped by for a quick bite and were promptly greeted by the staff. Being our first time they assisted us with ordering suggestions. Everything was delicious and the portions were more than enough. I was impressed by the use of fresh ingredients. They also offered us a complimentary cup of lentil soup with our order. The restaurant is well kept and there was plenty of seating when we visited the location. ??Vegetarian options: Salad and plenty of veggies to choose from

Sajj has quickly become a go-to spot for work lunches in town. It follows the Chipotle model where you can pick your base (salad or rice), protein (including falafel for vegans), and as many sides as you'd like. Some favorite sides include eggplant, cauliflower, chickpeas, pickles, garlic hummus, and baba ganoush. The menu options can be overwhelming, which is why they now offer a convenient vegan platter with lentil soup on the side. Sajj has two locations, one in the Financial District and the other in SOMA on 2nd street. With many restaurants still closed due to the pandemic, it was a pleasant surprise to find Sajj open and serving their delicious food. View menu

If you're from the east coast and miss Cava, come to SAJJ and you'll be pleasantly surprised that the food is even better than Cava! I got their pomegranate chicken with rice and an assortment of vegetables and spreads. So good! The chicken tasted so fresh and the rice was really flavorful without being salty. I loved the eggplant and cauliflower sides and the hummus, garlic spread, and tzatziki were all great. You really can't go wrong with any of the veggies. They're all so well seasoned and fresh! The side of lentil soup was also good! Not the best lentil soup but it was free with the chicken, so no complaints over here. Definitely would recommend SAJJ for a quick meal!

Sajj used to be a new addition to the city's dining scene, but it has quickly become a staple. When I recently returned to work, I had to make sure to stop by Sajj. The restaurant follows the Chipotle model where you choose your base (salad or rice) and protein (falafel for vegetarians), and top it off with various toppings like eggplant, cauliflower, chickpeas, pickles, garlic hummus, and Baba ganoush. The menu can be overwhelming with so many options, which is why Sajj recently introduced a new vegan dish that has been well-received. Each dish comes with a side of lentil soup. Sajj has two locations, one in the Financial District (FIDI) and another in SOMA at 2. With many restaurants still...

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
