"I would love to say that I prefer Samba over Texas de Brazil, but I just can’t. I will always favor and spend my money with snall business over the chains when all is equal. Sadly, this dining experience did not sway me to choose Samba over TdB, even though it is closer, more convenient, and less expensive. Our server came to our table once. And it took her 10 minutes to come over after we sat down. I believe we were her only table at the time. The gauchos were amazing, kept meat on our plates and our water cups full. Our server never checked on us and we waited for a bill for 15 minutes after our table was cleared before we asked a gaucho to have our bill brought to us. It was an early Friday night 5pm reservation and there were no more than 6 other tables. It was far from busy. I told my husband that I wish we could just tip the gauchos directly, because I’m not sure why we were tipping our server. They were the ones who deserved the tip . We did tip her a full gratuity, only because I assume that she tips out the gauchos, who earned every penny of their cut. The was nothing at alll wrong with the food, it just didn’t have as much flavor as TdB. Meat was cooked and served at the perfect temperature for a churrascaria. We will try it again and give it a second chance, because I don’t think you should ever try a restaurant only once, but if the same, we will continue to dine in Schaumburg at TdB."
