"So I have been to San Jose Tacos y Tequila many times, and the food, service, and atmosphere are always on point. They are one of the priciest Spanish Latin/ Mexican food spots around, similar to Uncle Julios, which we also enjoy. That being said, I didn 't even go in to eat here as I called the manager prior to heading up and simply asked him if there was anyway for me to come pick up some of their to die for tortilla chips. I was planning on having a bunch of my friends over for some homemade nachos and wanted to make sure I had the best ingredients! While I was there, I ended up helping some of the staff carry a couple of boxes of liquor to the bar and hold some doors for them, and they offered me my order for free!!!! A little help and kindness go a long way, folks!!! However, I made sure to pay and leave a nice tip even for my takeout order as I like supporting my local businesses and their families. That said, I made a giant platter of hatch chile chicken nachos, with a little sazon infused rice, pintos, black beans, pickled onions, diced heirloom tomatoes, shredded mixed greens, pico de gallo, a mixed blend of Spanish/ Latin cheeses and melted queso, cilantro, pablano crema, as well as some ortega hot sauce! San Jose offers excellent Mexican food! I especially enjoy the table-side guacamole and the San Jose Burrito, which is large enough to share between two people, so I always end up with leftovers. The service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is lovely.

Fantastic staff and delicious food! I've had the pleasure of ordering takeout from here twice, and both times my meal was spot on. They even double-checked my order for accuracy. We are never disappointed when we go here! The service, food, and atmosphere are always great! My kids love the food which is a plus and always ask to go here when we go up to the Raleigh area. So Delicious! We got the nachos, shrimp fried rice, fajitas and cheese dip and their SALSA is my favorite it's the only one I'll eat! As long as they're open I'll continue to go.

The food was decent, but we experienced some issues during our visit. We sat on the patio, where the music was played at a volume that made it hard to hear each other and focus on our conversation. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive and had a rather unfriendly demeanor. On the positive side, the table-side guacamole and queso were really good. However, the prices were outrageous—margaritas were priced between $15.99 and $16.99! Overall, the food was overpriced for the mediocre quality. I don’t think I’ll return.
