"The Ambience is way above. It is a house converted into a gorgeous restaurant. Candles are on all the tables. We were seated upstairs where the low ceiling adds to the extreme quiet. Our glasses were filled with water as soon as we were seated. A bread basket was brought over by a waiter, who asked for our drink order. I ordered clams on the half shell as an appetizer. Pastafagoli, eggplant. Rolatini , fried calamari and shrimp cocktail were also ordered. The fried calamari was shared by the table. Among the entrées were shrimp, fra Diavalo with linguine, chicken, martini, penne, vodka, and softshell crabs. The soft shell crabs were deep fried and covered with Planko breadcrumbs. There were. 4 crabs on top of string beans and mashed potatoes. outstandingly delicious. Everyone else loved their dinners. Three of us ordered cappuccino. Are you ordered tartufo and my son-in-law ordered cheesecake. A server. Kept filling-up our water glasses. We asked for additional bread, and they brought out another basket. Service was very slow and disappointing. Ordered a martini with olives. Got one with onions. The salad and mushroom soup were very good. The chicken Savini was idry and tasted like sawdust. Savini has great food. The scallops are delicious and perfectly cooked. It is a little expensive but the food quality is worth it. There is a bar there so you can grab a drink with dinner. My husband and I took his work team out to dinner here and everyone loved and finished their meal. They do half portions of pasta which is listed on the menu and it’s great. I recommend the sausage and broccoli rabe cavatelli. It is great for a special occasion. View menu

We went today for my in-laws’ 52nd wedding anniversary. I have had the pleasure of dining at Savini’s a few times before and had a great dinner every time. I recommended Savini’s because they offer classic Italian food in a friendly, elegant atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their meal and was quite content with the experience. We had three kids with us, the oldest being eight. The staff was accommodating and understanding whenever one got a little loud. We will be coming here again in the future. This is a great neighborhood gem.

used to be our favorite local fine dining restaurant. hosted a party of 50 guests in their private room. The size of the filet was 2 inches in diameter. the thickness of the salmon was about1/2 inch. the salad was the size of a heaping tablespoon. my guests were making jokes about the arriving sizes. emailed Kate, no response which is fine because she couldn't get me to step foot in there but an apology would have been nice. next time I will be at Mezza Lina's private room and their food is off the chart good with approprate serving sizes.
