"I celebrated my birthday here with a group of my friends, and it was amazing. The menu had something for everyone; I enjoyed a delicious tuna appetizer while my friends opted for some impressive-looking burgers. The desserts were even more impressive than the meal itself. We shared both the cheesecake and the red velvet cake, and they were both outstanding. The drink selection was diverse and expertly crafted. The service staff was very accommodating. My only critique would be that the chairs were a bit uncomfortable and the tables were quite close together, but since it wasn't crowded, it wasn't a significant issue."

I liked Scollay. Went with my family and all really enjoyed the Philly egg rolls, different Mac and cheese dishes. The tuna filet was great.

I was in town on business and liked this place so much that after having dinner there with a client, I also went there for lunch on my own too. View menu

I had a fantastic experience at Scollay Square! From the delicious food to the excellent service provided by our waitress Wendy, everything was top-notch. I'm definitely planning to return to try more items from the menu. One of the best parts is that the prices for food and drinks are very reasonable, especially for Boston. The only downside is the parking situation—I really wish they offered valet service. View menu

I’ve dined at Scollay Square several times over the past couple of months. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and reasonable prices keeps me returning. During my latest visit, I tried the special: tenderloin steak. It truly lived up to its name—perfectly tender, accompanied by a flavorful sauce, creamy mashed potatoes, and sautéed baby spinach. The service was consistently attentive as well.

My friend and I visited for dinner, and we had a great experience. The pan-roasted haddock was tender and satisfying without feeling heavy, and the rice was cooked to perfection. The martini glasses were a good size, and my pear martini was above average. My friend ordered the buffalo chicken with mac and cheese, which was quite tasty and had a mild spiciness. The service was prompt and friendly. Surprisingly, it wasn’t very crowded for a Friday evening. The prices were reasonable as well. I would definitely return; it’s a charming place.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
