"Today, while running errands in town, I decided to stop in for a quiet lunch. The atmosphere was just as welcoming as before. The waiter was quite attractive, and I got so caught up in his charm that I forgot his name! Unsure of what to order, he kindly recommended a few dishes, and I ultimately went with the Soft Shell Crab special. It’s always fun to try something new. Thank you once again to the staff at Long Island Cafe for providing another delightful experience! I’m definitely going to be a loyal customer for life! (By the way, his name was Oliver—make sure to ask for him!)"

"The staff was friendly and the ice cream was good. I was disappointed when faced with the bill knowing one scoop cost more than a pint of their ice cream in the store. They also charge you $1 for whipped cream and $1 for sprinkles. They left 3 of my 4ice creams lacking both whipped cream and sprinkles after I gladly paid them for it and also gave a gratuitous tip. They ranout of wooden spoons and the trash cans were overflowing. The seating areas were disgusting. We left feeling disappointed andwishing someone was there to better manage the place. Try harder Ben and Jerry?s! You can do better!"

"Another great breakfast at acme lowcountry kitchen had our daughter, son-in-law and three grandkids there. Everybody just loved their pancakes, french toast, shrimp and grits eggs and bacon. Fantastic breakfast as usual. I love going to this place. We're in Isle Palms and it's always our favorite and a go-to for breakfast and brunch. I rate this as one of my top breakfast houses I've ever eaten at with a selection of dishes on their menu from Bray's short ribs with grits to a variety of other great dishes. Our server, Chloe Holsingor shy was fantastic taking care of our grandkids every need. She was great and definitely going to sit in her area. Next time we're there we'll be back Chloe. Thank you!"

"Everything was excellent from start to finish. Our table of four enjoyed every dish we ordered. Even the smallest bite of the sweet had an explosion of flavor. I still remember the amazing olive dish. Each sauce was perfectly balanced. The triggerfish was light and flavorful, while the gnocchi was delicate and delicious. My companions absolutely loved their pastas, and the budino dessert was fantastic. We’ve dined at many wonderful places in Charleston, but this restaurant ranks high on our list—definitely in the top three for this meal. My only suggestion would be to offer a more extensive tasting menu and to include mezcal on the drink selection. While the Tiramisu cheesecake was very good, I believe it would be even better if sponge cake were used instead of ladyfingers. Join us at Chucktown Foodies on Facebook!"

"We are away on our first vacation as a family of three and I was looking for family friendly places. The moment I read the menu I knew we needed to try here. We started out with the BLT deviled eggs, fried calamari, and tuna tartar and everything was better than what we even expected. Each dish was not only delicious but the presentation was stellar. We then shared the crab carbonara and holy cow I couldn’t believe how much real crab meat they stuffed into this pasta dish, so thankful our waitress asked us if we wanted to split it was plenty for two! We then went to desserts where we split the key lime pie and carrot cake. My husband and I are a little snobby when it comes to key lime pies, we literally order them from Key West just to get our fill from time to time, needless to say we were both pleasantly surprised by the key lime and how delicious it was. The flavor was extremely light and subtle not too tart it was absolutely delicious as was the carrot cake! And finally our waitress was an absolute pleasure. Will 100000% be coming back here on future trips. Kid-friendliness: We have an 8 month old and even though the atmosphere is that of a more high end place was perfect for a family night out. My husband and I felt very comfortable there with our baby girl."
