"Serranos in Baton Rouge makes a much better job than the Serranos in Lafayette. My appetizer of fried Calamari came to my table slightly warm. It wasn't crispy what it should be when freshly roasted. It tasted as if it had been stuffed back in hot oil to heat it up. My duck of chicken fajitas came out of steam, which first thought I was a good sign. When I tasted the chicken, it was fat and tasted as if it had been steamed instead of grilled. The dessert of fried strawberries was also a great disappointment. The funnel cake was oil-soaked, which leads me to believe that it was precipitated in oil before the oil reached the right temperature. Overall, it was a very bad experience and I do not intend to go back or recommend the place to everyone."
