"We had an odd experience here. The food was adequate and served quickly. The problem was the person working the cash register. We paid cash. The receipt we were given showed it was a cash sale, but the bill added on a surcharge for using a credit card. That would have been no problem. Mistakes happen. But when I pointed it out to the person at the register, she first played dumb and then said I would have to talk to someone else who never showed up. It was an insignificant amount of money but a significant example of bad and indifferent customer service. The original Willie is long gone, and we miss him."

If you are ever in Red River NM you have to stop here. The staff was great, food was good and the atmosphere just perfect for the setting! I would eat here again!

Shotgun Willie's is a great breakfast joint. I don't think they would claim the most fabulous breakfast, but the groovy little joint with great staff, reasonable food, and great service makes it a favorite of mine.

Seat yourself indoors or outside after ordering and picking up your food at the counter. Bare basics here. The food is OK but nothing special. The burrito is very large. If you ask for crispy bacon you'll get it burned! View menu

If you’re not getting the breakfast burrito (smothered) every time you come to red river (multiple times is better so you can try it with brisket, bacon, and sausage) you’re not really living. It’s hands down the best food in RR and something I look forward to every year I come here.

Looking for a delicious breakfast st an affordable price! Come here, you won't be disappointed. Been coming here for 20 plus years and they still keep the quality and atmosphere on point. Pro tip: order the breakfast burrito woth bacon, and plenty of salsa on the side. Endless free coffee refills too
