"I loved everything about this place! I can't believe I live just about 10 minutes away and never knew it existed. I think it's because they close at 2:30 PM. However, I finally woke up early on Saturday and arrived around 9:00 AM, just ahead of the breakfast crowd. I was on the hunt for a truly great BLT, and I found one here. The lettuce was fresh romaine, the tomatoes were delicious, and the bacon was thick and crispy. It was the perfect way to kick off my day. I also ordered a turkey club to enjoy later, and it was fantastic too. The turkey tasted incredibly fresh, and although they charged me a little extra for cheese, bringing the total to about $14, it was definitely worth it. Both sandwiches came with a bag of UTZ chips, though you can opt for fries for an additional charge. Make sure to arrive early and/or order online. Parking is conveniently located next to the Dollar Tree."

I had a fantastic breakfast—it had the best bacon in town! I also ordered a shrimp salad to go, along with some coleslaw, and everything was excellent. View menu

By the far the best diner I have been to in Baltimore. We had our food within 3 minutes of ordering! Southside Special is where it's at! Highly recommend!

My wife and I enjoyed the food, and the wait staff were hospitable. We will be returning since we are new to the neighborhood, and the prices are more than reasonable. View menu

The food was amazing. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was just a little loud. Dishes being banged together and a kid sitting on the most squeaky stool kept going back and forth squeezing it. That's why only 4 stars for atmosphere. The rest was great.

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
