"I went to show the staff the disgusting raw chicken and rotten cucumbers, but the manager insisted the cucumbers were fresh. Although Grubhub refunded my order and offered to make me a new salad, I don’t trust them anymore. I don’t understand why the owner would hire inexperienced kitchen staff who don't know how to cook. The manager also mentioned she couldn’t fire the cook because he was sick, stating another cook usually handled the chicken. It was a complete circus. The staff was defensive instead of apologetic, failing to take responsibility for potentially giving me food poisoning and covering my medical expenses. If you enjoy raw chicken and spoiled cucumbers, then by all means, eat here. Otherwise, I strongly advise against it."

This restaurant is one of the best spots in the area. I've been a loyal customer for years, and the team at Subconscious consistently delivers delicious and satisfying dishes.

Very disappointed where quality has gone. I was surprised it took 2 minutes to prepare a philly. No wonder. I gpt home and it was precut meat with gravy and onions. Truly awful and instant trash.

The prices here are incredibly reasonable, especially given the rising cost of living. The portions are generous for the price, and they consistently offer a complimentary soup or iced tea. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and even during busy times, they remain quick and efficient. Overall, a fantastic dining experience! View menu

As a Columbia student, I often ate at Subconscious before the pandemic, and I’m happy to report that it still meets my expectations! The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a budget-friendly choice for students. I’m glad to see that they have kept their prices reasonable. Keep up the fantastic work!

Subconscious catered our company picnic for 80 employees, and the food was fantastic. The delivery was timely, and the staff was extremely professional. We have been using them for almost two years to handle our catering needs for a smaller team of 25, but catering for 80 in the park was a whole different experience that they handled exceptionally well! I highly recommend the 6-foot hero, the breakfast setup, and the guacamole, just to name a few!

It was my first time at this store. I was very impressed with my order. You get a lot for a reasonable price. I will be back.... Super Excellent service that when I tried to tip them, the cashier said no tip. Why you guys don't allow tip given how great the team members are and the food is good? They were all very pleasant and making sure that i walked out happy... That's my only thing...Allow them to take a tip if a customer offer. "We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
