"Okay so it is a good restaurant but the overall quality of the foods and experience do not worth the price. We have a sashimi deluxe, duck cold soba, one order of sea urchin nigiri, one lobster okonomiyaki, three skewers, one small warm sake and one bottle of asahi. 113 dollars excluding the tips. The best dishes would be the sashimi, the texture and taste just match the price, but the crab sticks in that sashimi deluxe is kind of ridiculous since you know, most of the crab sticks we can have are not made of crab meat? My friend and me both love their egg omelet, with dashi and perfect sweetness. Skewers are nice enough too, they?re definitely using the right soy sauce. Soba is just soba. But I have to mention that the urchins they used for the nigiri are terrible, though creamy, they tasted bitter. And the rice of the nigiri is too warm for a sushi, and the nori almost dominates the flavor of everything else in that sushi?it?s just unacceptable in such a Japanese cuisine. I guess the flour paste they use for the takoyaki and the lobster okonomiyaki is the same, which you can find all over the place at any restaurant that sells such things. They are using the lobster but it?s hard to taste it? I think people are supposed to have better dishes at such price. I expected Sugidama to be a more delicate restaurant but I?m wrong. I can?t feel much difference in their recipes or the design of dishes with other cheaper Japanese restaurant. Hopefully Sugidama will make some improvements. I?m considering to try their lunch menu since that seems more economical."

I love their soba noodles!!! Sushi was fresh and tasty. Very few restaurants in Boston cooked such nice vinegary sushi rice. Great experience.

Nice Soba Square. I haven't eaten any great soba for a long time. Your spits were also very good. They have parking spaces for private parking next to the store. Just ask the reception and they will show you kindly.

I like this place. Sushi was quite fresh. Seemed a bit pricey. You need a reservation in the evening. Otherwise you have to sit at the bar.I got sushi deluxe for dinner and it didn't come with salad or Miso soup. $26.

We went here on a super hot day, and I must highly recommend their cold soba paired with Sapporo (the big ones, them 10 each). I've been trying this place for years and letting me wait so long! Here?s a picture of the cold Soba plus Tempura option. View menu

The menu has a very wide selection of everything from soba noodles to sushi to izakaya style Japanese food. Prices are reasonable. Making a reservation might be helpful but not a must, we had to wait ~40min for a party of 3 on a Friday night without a reservation.

Sugidama is my restaurant of choice when the desire for some fresh kicks in. Your Chirashi bowl $28) is worth it. I'm not a sushi expert, but I know when something is good quality. Some of my favorite dishes are: the Hokkaido Scallops, Takoyaki and Karaage! Could be less for her soba. To be honest, the broth thought too sweet and lack of substance / nuance.

Large service, with water and parking on seats My group ordered various things as snacks and refreshed, everyone seemed happy The waiter checked with us often and even asked the people who joined us if they wanted to order something and gave us another pitcher of the water I ordered some appetizers that were pretty good, I would definitely be ready to visit again View menu

Yum oh yum! Love the fresh seafood, noodles, drink menu, and desserts! This time I ordered noodles with shredded vegetable and shrimp tempura. The broth was rich, noodles were tender, and tempura was absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of food to satisfy but not too much to make you feel stuffed. Look forward to going back again. The prices are very reasonable too.

Stopped by for a quick weekday lunch their lunch specials are quite worth and definitely offer a lot of options, too! Soba was tasty noodles well cooked and broth fragrant and all the better considering the difficulty of finding good soba in the US sometimes. I ordered the combo with salmon sashimi, and the fish was really good quality. Portion sizes were a rather good value, too.Overall quite impressed and I will definitely be back they have so many interesting sushi selections that I'm very keen to try out. I will note that service was a bit,,, curt ,,, to say the least (although certainly not to the point of impairing the overall experience).

"Great casual fine dining experience in a quiet Cambridge neighborhood.Took a visit here for dinner on a Saturday night. Its casual and rustic interior blended in perfectly with the atmosphere of the neighborhood, and our servers were very welcoming. We were initially planning to do the tasting menu, but the regular a la carte menu seemed too good to miss. We ended up ordering a bunch from their regular menu which turned out to be the right decision. The optional focaccia and rye bread with sweet scallion butter was an excellent start to the meal. From the appetizers, we had the kohlrabi cabbage, country terrine, and the scallop crudo. Topped with a mélange of earthy and floral ingredients, the scallop crudo was my favorite from the appetizers. Each bite was creamy and flavorful yet inexplicably light. Sprinkled with cranberries and spiced seeds, the kohlrabi and cabbage salad was also delightful. I especially loved the spiced seed toppings which added the right amount of nuttiness and crunchy texture.Saffron bigoli with leeks and clam sofrito had a slightly boring flavor profile, but the pappardelle verde with lamb sugo was phenomenal. I’m usually not a fan of mint toppings, but it managed to become a perfect complement to the lamb sugo. Subsequent 3 entrées were also amazing. Japanese-inspired soy marinated cod was perfectly tenderized, and its delicate texture paired well with the carrots and leeks soaked in dashi. Forking a concoction of chimichurri sauce, garlic purée, and grilled spring onion with tender pieces of beef teres major was also very satisfying. We finished off the meal with the carrot cake sundae and the lemon poppyseed cake. The dessert section lacked refined taste, but we still appreciated their effort to put something unique and interesting. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner experience at a reasonable price. Would definitely come back some day to try their tasting menu.Parking: Street parking available on Huron Ave Concord Ave"

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
