"Chic Mediterranean joint. Quite busy with lack of workers. So even tough there are quite a few empty tables, be prepared to wait. The place is mostly family owned with relatives waiting at tables. The people who interfaced with us were surprisingly very rude. They made us wait a long time and sit at a table we didn't want and then while ordering straight up told us they don't have majority of the menu. No apology or courtesy. The food came quickly and well made. Hummus was given extremely less quantity. Falafel were fine. Curries were very similar in taste. Taste was good though. Non veg pulao was really good. Veg pulao was tasteless. Wings were a joke. You better wings in street fairs. Overall the food was decent enough, and well presented, so giving it 4 stars. Next time i would rather take out than sit and eat. Not a good experience for dining."

What a pleasant experience! I found another delicious Mediterranean restaurant. Everything was so good from complementary soup vegetarian Dolma and tasty dessert . Will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

The saffron curry was delicious but on the salty side. The beef kebab tasted as expected. I liked how they garnished the rice. The wait was longer than expected, even though we came after the lunch rush. The waitresses was not attentive and did not check up on us.

I went for lunch by myself and the restaurant was not very busy when I arrived. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my server was very friendly. They made a great recommendation for my meal since I couldn't decide what to order. The food was incredibly tasty and the naan bread was freshly baked. I definitely plan on returning.

The food at this restaurant is delicious! I especially loved the rice pilau served in a phyllo pocket and the sensational chicken curry. We decided to substitute the rice with naan, which was a great choice as it was so delicious. We even ordered an extra one to take home because my kids loved it. I also enjoyed their lentil soup. I will definitely be coming back soon to try more dishes. View menu

Amazing food. The shrimp pasta was phenomenal. It was better than most Italian restaurants that I have been in st Louis. The lamb shank was not bad. My friend loved it. But I prefer the one from Taste of Persia. The custard was rich and creamy. A bit too sweet for my taste but still good. Could staff more waiters. So expect slow service during rush hours. Take out would probably be a better choice.

I dined at this restaurant for the first time last Sunday. We arrived at 5:30 and found it to be very busy. My kids and I are big fans of Mediterranean cuisine, and this place has quickly become our favorite. The food was served steaming hot and tasted fantastic! The variety on the menu made it difficult to choose what to order, as everything sounded delicious. They also offer a nice selection of vegetarian options. I am excited to return and try something different next time!

This restaurant definitely deserves the 5-star. So, I came in with my wife and her friend, and she chose this restaurant out of her interest for discovering new food. And my Goodness, they did not disappoint! They came through! The food was MIGHTY GOOD! We were tourists coming for a little vacation in St.Louis, and this was the best place for food, and at an affordable price (even for college students, because we are). This was extremely good! DON’T EVER DOUBT COMING HERE! YOU NEED TO EXPERIENCE THIS FOR YOURSELF. View menu

"My boyfriend and I came to this place during our visit to St. Louis after reading rave reviews about it online. We went in well-dressed and excited with high expectations, but unfortunately were left feeling extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. Dining at the restaurant definitely taught us a lot about the ozark history. I have a lot of respect for the time and enthusiasm the owner put into researching the history, arranging youtube videos, and conveying this information to the guests. His concerns about the environment and zero-waste efforts are also very laudable. His direct interactions with all of the guests and attempts to answer questions were refreshing. The food, however, was very lacking and mediocre. The concept of watching your food being made is fun and exciting. Understandably, they can’t make everything and plenty is prepared in advance. Except they really didn’t seem to make much of anything at all. A few grilled mushrooms here, and a delicate but also pompous plating there and that’s it. I know there’s probably a kitchen in the back and they work throughout the day as most kitchens do, but this gaudy element of pseudo showmanship missed a serious mark. Again, that’s fine. It’s an aesthetic and part of the bulrush experience. What annoys me is the price tag and the faint whiff of haughtiness that comes with it. The kitchen hands also looked apathetic, disinterested, and lacked focus. They didn’t look like professional chefs, just professional food assemblers. I did not trust that they knew to prepare food properly and that was evident in what was eventually served. The food was either too plain, too sour, too salty, or overall a very big disappointment. The steak had so many big chunks of fat in it that I was only able to eat about half of it. The poissants were cute but definitely not something I would pay that much money for, especially given that there were only about two small pieces of it on our plates. The beets, brussel sprouts, asparagus, fried onions that we were served, I can find and reproduce in my own kitchen. For the amount of money we paid, I expected a lot more flavor, unique ingredients, and creativity. I asked the owner why Ozark and he admitted it was an entrepreneurial strategy to stand out. He loved to repeat to our audience that night that “no one else” is doing it! Well when you taste the food you can kinda see why? I can’t deny though that the chefs know how to make something look appetizing in pictures. That’s what initially attracted us to the restaurant. The pretty platings and colorfully spectacular arrangements were what got us in the door. The experience has been worth it in the sense that for all that we paid for, we got a good lesson to not eat with our eyes, and a funny story to tell our friends back at home."
