"Just meh, maybe our expectations were hyped because of all the good things my mom keeps hearing about the place and the promise of all the people grabbing to go orders here but we weren't really impressed. Mom and I both ordered chimichangas I had carneshe the ground beef. Best part of the chimi was the cheese sauce it was covered in, carne had little flavor but I can't countthe number of times I had to stop and spit out a chunk of fat or gristle that I just can't handle, it was chopped in such smallpieces many could probably handle it but anything aside from the actual meat I just can't do. Pico and lettuce in place was anice touch but lacked any overall flavor in the pico. Horchata was good in that it didn't have the grit many places do butlacked some cinnamon IMO. Table salsa had good flavor we all love it when we can actually taste cilantro and you could here.Hubby had a taco plate but he does his own reviews, what I remember is that the onions weren't fresh probably (no flavor) andthat the radish could have been pickled. Also a bit disappointed in the tortillas being all wrapped up and only having one pertaco! Would we come back when back to visit mom again?possibly but doubtful."

Wow, I just had the best mole at Don Pedro's! I've tasted this dish in Yucatan, Mazatlan, Ensenada, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs, but nothing compares to what I had here. My guests loved the food as well. The fantastic staff made this amazing dining experience even better!

What a wonderful restaurant! We ate inside Village Wine and had the verde linguini and the pork with rice and beans and delicious onions after starting with chips (of course) The server was very kind and attentive and the food was amazing. I was so hungry I didn’t take pictures (oops) but we will definitely be back!

My wife and I specifically went to this restaurant to meet the owner/operator, but unfortunately, she wasn't available. However, the food was absolutely incredible! I have to say, it was delicious! People often say I have a big appetite, but even I found it difficult to finish the burrito—it was enormous! Not only was it huge, but it was also so tasty that I wouldn't dare take my mom there! I jokingly wished I were single after that first bite (we were sharing, of course—just kidding... maybe). Don Pedro is exceptional. While living in Effingham, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by all the convenient dining choices, but I find myself returning here almost every time I eat out.
