Tastier than I expected! Very filling and hearty. Mashed potatoes were super smooth. Large portions, my one entree of fish stew lasted two meals.

Held our rehearsal dinner here with all our out of town guests as well. People were shocked by how good the food was. They kept asking us “how did you find this place?” We were thrilled. Gaby was a wonderful host and my wife and I cannot wait to go back!

This restaurant serves delicious food! We tried the smoked cod and the curry goat, and both dishes were excellent. The smoked cod had a variety of flavors and a lovely sweet taste, especially when paired with potatoes. The curry goat is a must-try for goat lovers, although it was slightly less flavorful than the smoked cod. Overall, we enjoyed both dishes. View menu

Bim's Taste Restaurant is the best dining establishment in Eureka, and possibly even in the Humboldt area. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from. If you're in Eureka, you definitely shouldn't miss out on this fantastic culinary experience. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and the restaurant itself is a great place to dine.

I wish i could give 3 and half stars because this place has potential. I ordered a stew chicken rice bowl and they use all white meat chicken so the chicken was dry formy taste. It was well seansoned and the flavor was nice i jut wish there was some bone-dark meat. I had some of the homemade sorrel (hibiscus) drink which was good. Great food. The Pacific salmon was cooked perfectly as was the jerked chicken and fried cod. Keep in mind it is two people running the show...it will take a while to get your food and refills may take a bit BUT the quality of food makes it worth it. Here's the thing, the food is amazing. For takeout im sure it's amazing. I got the beef bowl and it was absolutely amazing and I loved it. However the rest of the expirience was nothing but wretched. The service was an absolute 1 star. At first I think the waitress thought we just wanted to just sit outside and not eat for some reason. That resolved itself after a couple minutes. My entire stay lasted for 2 hours due entirely to slow service. My friend ordered the lentil burger and it was cooked to death. If it wasn't for the great taste, this would be an easy 1 star. I want to love you, Taste of Bim, but I cannot.

Jerked chicken: was excellent, rice and beans were excellent. The stewed vegetables had a great taste but consisted mostly of cabbage, would have liked to see some variety. Fried chicken: was ok, but they laid it down on a very generous portion of mash potatoes (honestly too much but thats personal preference). The bottom was soggy, they need to plate more consciously. Salad: was good, it has raisins, they were a nice sweet pop, however there were a lot of carrots, shredded carrots and giant chunks of carrots. Fried cod fritters: theses were not what i had in mind when I ordered them. There who are no pieces of identifiable Cod, it seems to be just one large piece of dough fried. It was over...

We ate here for the first time last night. We were not sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by what we ordered. The sautéed Veggies is NOT what you think it is more of a stew that is deliciously paired with rice and peas. I got it with the fried chicken and thought I would get something “easy” but instead it was perfectly cooked, very humid and was uniquely spiced. My husband got the curry chicken dish and ate almost the whole thing (he is not a huge eater). We had Curry Chicken many times before, but the flavors this was different.
