"New Buck Hunter is truly the cherry on top. It's probably my favorite spot to enjoy a reasonable amount of drinks, and knowing that my walk home is quite manageable makes this place feel like a comforting safety net for my soul. The fun atmosphere, complete with some impressive artwork on the walls, really sets the vibe; I can’t imagine feeling secure in a place without such eye-catching elements around. I love watching people play pool, even though I wouldn't play myself—I’ve learned I’m not very skilled at cool activities, and I’ve already had my share of embarrassing moments over the years. The music is always top-notch, thanks to the staff’s fantastic Spotify playlists and personal MP3 collections. The selection of tasty snacks has never disappointed either. Overall, this is just a really fantastic place to be."

All the dive bar goodies you could wish for, plus an amazing burger and food last call til 1.30am weekends, and a separate room with two pool tables. Could not ask for more

The atmosphere is fantastic. The burger and fries were spot on. The drinks were excellent, making this my preferred place. There are pool tables in the back as well. Overall, a really great vibe!

This is a very good option for pregame drinks and food before catching a show at one of the nearby venues. It's got a rustic, punk bar aesthetic that really captures the right mood before a metal show. View menu

I visited this restaurant twice and found the pool tables in the back to be in excellent condition. The price for a PBR and a shot was around $7, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was great, with nice music playing in the background.

Ordered a frozen pina colada and got a frozen painkiller instead and I’m not complaining, also a great bar to play pool/billiards the lighting and spacing of the tables were on point. Music selection was eclectic. I heard Punk Rock, Duran Duran, and bachata in a twenty minute span while I watched Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
