"What can I say about this place, it is a local bar, the drinks are extremely cheap and the staff friendly. While it can get a large amount of college graduate students and some locals, it doesn't necessarily get too busy and is a good spot to catch the game. They also have a kitchen which makes damn good fries and other fare which are also cheap and good. I have made it a tradition to come back every Friday with the squad and will continue to do so. I absolutely recommend this as a watering hole for anyone in the area"

I have never had a bad experience at this bar. In fact, I've had some fantastic ones! Even when they’re hosting events, the staff is always incredibly friendly.

With the abundance of bars and restaurants that have either closed down or are still operating temporarily, it's refreshing to find some reliable spots in Little Italy. Here...

I frequent this place very often. The staff is awesome! Marino is a great bartender, and I just recently went in and was helped by Morgan and she was also great! The music selection is good (matches my own preferences). View menu

Good food... sliders and fish and chips. Nice Irish elements in the decor. A tad understaffed on a weeknight so service wasn't as quick as usual.. but the fresh hot churros we had for dessert were good enough to overlook that.

This was my go to bar back in college (circa 2008-10l. I'm glad to say it's still as good as ever. (I was sad to see the that the shuffleboard is gone, tho). Terrific neighborhood bar with all the basic nwcessities. Great neighborhood. Excellent beer selection. Friendly owner and staff. No frills. Just chill!

I spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day here with my best friend and had an amazing time. The service was excellent, the food was enjoyable, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. Our bartender and server, Hailey, was fantastic and had a wonderful personality. We were there for about four hours, and it was still an incredible experience. I will definitely come back again someday! View menu

This is a lively spot to enjoy drinks with friends. They have a shuffleboard table in the back, which adds to the fun. The bar food is decent, and the beer selection is quite good. We've been visiting this place for years, both during and after college, and you can definitely feel that vibe in the crowd. It's a mix of locals, residents, and students, making it a great neighborhood favorite.

The bartender was super nice, his drinks were very bad though, I asked for a tequila sour and it was extremely sweet for a sour drink. I think he put margarita mix in to make the drink sour but it was just like sugar. But I do think he was just starting because later on I saw someone maybe teaching him how to pour drinks. Other than that everyone there even the customers were very friendly. It's a very fun crowd.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
