"We made a reservation but we were seated at a small table near the electrical closet on the second floor. Lots of empty tables downstairs. The staff kept trying to deliver food to us that was not ours. We had to ask for salt n pepper. The sausage played was good but not enough sauerkraut. The potato salad was very runny and tasteless, needs some seasoning. The mustard for the sausage was also runny. The old fashion cocktails we're good. At the end of the meal, one of the staff opened a window. When I complained that it was cold, he just shrugged his shoulders."

Excellent food and vibe! We ordered buttermilk biscuits (amazing) fish tacos and my bf ordered steak. It was delicious and excellent service!

Great server, honored my booth request, food excellent EXCEPT the cooks forgot the Carmel used onions on my cheese sandwich which is why I ordered it. View menu

eating here is a good comfort food. they have a wonderful bar. the noise level is not a place from the charts to have good maintenance. the service was not great, but I think our waiter was new. it is always crowded, highly recommended to make a reservation.

Food is really good, but the wine selection is awesome! When there, make sure to order the mushroom cigars they have as entrèe; if you fancy mushrooms, you will certainly love it. The tomato soup is my second best. It is always interesting to make a reservation. View menu

When I’m in town I call this place “old faithful”. The food is always consistent and cooked well and the drinks are mixed right. It’s been a while since I’ve been here but they now have loads of outdoor seating. The menu is a little limited compared to pre pandemic but it’s still one of the more extensive menus I’ve seen. I almost always get the flat iron steak it’s not of my favorite cuts and not many places serve it. It’s a great place to try if you’re in town for business.

I was there with a group so we ate from a limited menu. The skirt steak that I had was tasty but the chimichurri that was all over it sort of took away from the flavor and not really added to it but it wasn't bad. The vegetables were cooked just fine. The bread pudding that came to our table for dessert, was huge. At a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on the top. But this was good bread pudding but expect a large portion. Expect expensive drink prices but that is everywhere in downtown San Jose.
